Did the thread OP say that the rowdies were in front of her? NO In fact you shot your own argument in the foot because the woman was quote "a couple of rows down". Sorry, you just got wtfpwned.
You stated what a ticket holder is entitled too. I was telling you many times the group you are defending deprive ticket holders of what they paid for. No one has mentioned in this thread anything about the Rowdies standing in front of this woman.
Nope. in fact, the rowdies nor clutch didn't deny her anything. She still had her seat from which she could watch the "entertainment" which is the game + halftime show, of which the Rowdies and Clutch are part of (they are endorsed by the brass). They didn't tak her seat or kick her out, which they could and should have anyway, since she was making obscene gestures to the crowd and "ruining the fun of" many more people. As you so shrewdly pointed out earlier in this thread, she could have "started a brawl" or something like that. They are entitled to watch the entertainment. They are not entitled to be entertained. Do you understand the difference? It's subtle, but I'm sure you can grasp it. Ever heard the saying 'you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink'? I'm thinking this Lakers lady was sitting next to the watertrough but didn't want to drink.
I just sank your battleship. Obsene gestures are being exchanged and they think they need to turn up the heat. Everything is wrong with that. Yeah.... the guys who can't let go an incident that didn't even involve them that happened 20 minutes before are saints. The Rowdies will wear the welcome out if they make poor choices like that again and again. Stick in the mud? Just because I go to watch a game and cheer for my team and don't focus on things happening off the court, I'm a stick in the mud... Yeah, ok....
Way to make things up to support your argument. The rowdies didn't exchange obscene gestures, they just yelled "sore loser" and heckled her WITHOUT obscenities. I think krosfyah specified that. So...you lose. Try again, insert coin to continue.
Since the first interaction between the lady and the Rowdies was initiated by the Rowdies and was not pleasant in nature, you'd have to be a collosal dumbass to think she "started" anything with the Rowdies. There were 2 incidents that day.. 1. Between Clutch and the lady. 2. Between the Rowdies and the lady. The difference being Clutch did not hang around to razz the lady for more. than 20 mins. The Giant Bear chose not to make a fool of himself. Too bad the Rowdies didn't choose that course of action.
let me clarify the statement... She made a gesture at them (although we have not heard her side). The point there is... the Rowides saw it was getting ugly when she flipped them off and they threw gas on a fire by continuing to harrass her. Quit grasping for straws.
Firstly, the only person who made a fool of themselves that night was the unfortunate woman who may or may not have anger management issues. Secondly, if you sit by fans that are hired to be "rowdy" and then you start engaging in a confrontation with the mascot, expect to be heckled. I really don't see where the logical disconnect is for you. I'm sure if we were all unemotional robots, we could sit there and watch it passively. But if I were there, you can bet I'd be yelling sore loser along with the rest of them. Don't wanna get heckled? Stay home and watch it on League Pass. Otherwise, don't whine when fans of the other [winning] team heckle you. The only one who's grasping for straws trying to continue an untenable position is you.
In fact... if she was REALLY bothered by it, her correct choice of action would have been to talk to the ushers and request a different seat. Instead she chose to sit through it and engage the Rowdies.
Learn to spell, Ill-Skillz. It's "jeopardize". In light of your relentless self-aggrandizement in this thread, it's only appropriate that your spelling, grammar and punctuation reflect your superior intelligence.
just chiming in with my two cents, not that it matters.... if i am in another city, rooting for my team, i would almost expect to get grief from the hometown fans. as long as it was in good taste. so i dont really see anything wrong with that, its part of being a fan. but there was a situation that pis*ed me off extremely. last season, early on, i was at the NOK / Rockets game. First game T-Mac was out if I remember correctly. We were SURROUNDED by new orleans fans. most of whom were probably here as katrina evacuees. we were rooting for our rockets, obviously, and we werent giving them **** at all. when we made a good play, we clapped and cheered. not too far into the game, it started. every time NOK scored or did something good, these classless NOK people started ganging up on us few rockets fans in that section. i mean taking it below the belt pretty much. I felt it was extremely classless and disrespectful and made me almost upset that our city was helping theirs (i know you cant judge a whole city based on a few people) but at the time, anyway. bottom line for me is, keep it tasteful and do it at home. dont do it to the hosting citys fans (not that i read that on here, just giving opinion).
You guys should've thrown something after she did that and pretend no did anything!! that would've funny as hell!!!
They increased their banter with her. They turned up their heat which is perfectly fine. The might have the ability to focus both on the game and still have fun with the overly uptight Laker's fan. I didn't say they were saints. But you still haven't shown a reason why we should doubt them. Except that according to most, they didn't make poor choices. It isn't because you like to watch a game cheer for the team on the court that you are stick in the mud. Y ou are a stick in the mud, because you try to tell others the way that they should watch the game, even if it is against acceptable norms. Like I said you can watch a game anyway you like. You don't have to engage in banter with opposing fans if you don't want.
If you truly think that, in the midst of an ugly situation, that it's perfectly fine to keep instigating the woman you are either a child or incredibly stupid. The reason they should be doubted is because of the stupid decisions they had made up to that point. Obviously the cop felt it was possible if not likely they had commited the act. Acoording to people who think like children. And you don't have to encourage pointless and stupid behavior.
I have been to 7 games already this year and sat in Section 101. I bought the Weekend II package and will be sitting in section 114 row 18 for those games, what rows are the Rowdies in? I have seen them obviously but did not count the rows.
