Has anyone heard the Bengal's Who Dey chant/song? I heard it a couple of weeks ago rewatching some of last year's Hard Knocks episode and it's just like the Who Dat chant. Rowdies were awesome during JVG's time! I used to join them in SA when we played spurs!! but i guess they passed their prime..
I don't hear the rowdies as much any more. When they first got here, they created a college type atmosphere with their chants, and you could hear it loud and clear on tv. Now, I don't hear them at all. The initiation process kind of went from "the fans that showed the most passion" to "what gimmick or costume could I get tickets with?" Just my observation
Do you really not see that it is lame to steal a chant from a different, well-known sports franchise? That would be like the Philadelphia Phillies all of a sudden wanting to claim they were in Clutch city.
I agree. The Rowdies were great the first year. Now that the novelty has worn off, I honestly believe they aren't as effective anymore. The chants and costumes are inane. While the Rockets feed off the crowd, the crowd doesn't feed off the Rowdies, IMO.
can someone help me find the videos of last years playoffs in LA where the rowdies (or a group of Rockets fans) took over the staple center?
alright enough with the WHO DAT? complaining. this thread is getting repetitive. Us Rowdies, have never had any complaints before about that cheer, which we've done for the past couple of seasons, and probably ones before that. so we continued to do it. Your voice has been heard Clutchfans, I'll talk to the other rowdies about taking that cheer out of our cheer lineup. It's no longer necessary for anyone to post after this about the who dat? cheer. No rowdy ever knew it was an issue. You have my word it will get brought up. And I am constructing some new cheers for Wednesday's games. Wow! 2 problems brought up on this forum are going to be resolved! possible removal of the who dat? cheer, and new chants for the magic game! yay! as proof here are some new cheer ideas i came up with for wednesday for Jared Jefferies(who played awesome last night)- HE WENT TO JARED! HE WENT TO JARED! (like the Jarred's jewelers commercials. He went to jarred's! lol) or possibly "it can only be jarred". but I like he went to jared better and for the Romp... HEAR OUR VOICES, HEAR OUR DRUMS, WATCH OUT MAGIC, HERE THE ROWDIES COME. more to come
Yeah, he went to Jared is better (mostavern had a pretty funny joke about that on another thread). Nothing wrong with the other one, but Jefferies had a couple of missed layups last game so it is clear it can't only be Jared.
