That dunk rocked the casbah. It was like Baron stopped in mid air, then elevated a few more inches for the dunk...

Hopefully, after watching this series, the Rockets will realize you don't have to have a team full of 3-point specialists to be a good 3-point shooting team.

Now this is a fun team to watch.

I wish the Rockets were at least HALF as entertaining. :(

The Baron is in the house.

The perimeter shooting throughout the game, gave him the space to work that masterpiece.

I was going to say the Red Baron but the team colours differ.

Anyway, GS is playing inspired and streaky basketball. Wow! They need to close this in 6.

Here's to a GS v PHO western conference finals where points records will be broken!

that series would be disgustingly great to watch, but unfortunately it probably won't happen because Spurs have the sun's number.

If the league is gonna fix games, why not have the refs give the series to the Suns and Warriors so we can watch some exciting basketball in the WCF?

All they gotta do is call all the chippy, ticky tack fouls on the perimeter and let the Suns and Warriors hack away in the post. A Suns/Warriors WCF would be so good for the NBA and its fans.

Regarding the officiating, you haven't been watching the NBA the last 3 years, huh?

If the league was going to fix games then Rockets would have won their playoff series because the Rockets get a whole crapload more viewers world wide than Jazz.

A3PO, they certainly weren't making those calls in Utah. I saw a lot of no calls when the Warriors were getting hammered as they penetrated into the lanes.

The way Baron is playing right now, these first ten games of the 2007 playoffs, I could make the argument that he is the best player currently in the NBA(as it applies to the team concept since kobe wins in any one on one debate). He is basically a combination of Kobe and Nash in that he can guarantee the Warriors get a high percentage shot most times(Nash) or he can just say "give me the ball and get out of the way" (kobe). He's the ultimate triple threat. The way he played in the fourth quarter last night with the 3 highlight reel moves, 3 pointers, steals, rebounds was reminiscent of Kobe, except Kobe has an inability to maximize his teams talent like Baron.
Baron has the leadership qualities to make all of his teammates better a la Nash. Better probably since Nash has arguably 5 franchise talent players and Baron has maybe one(Jason Richardson). The Warriors actually expect to win every time out just judging by their body language. Think about that. An 8th seed that thinks it can win a championship.

If you switch Nash for Baron, the Warriors are worse and i think Phoenix still remains an offensive machine with better defense.

To pile on the hyperbole, I would say if he could keep this up it would rank among the greatest 10 performances in history. Right there with Jordan, Wade, Dream.

Post ups, dribble penetration, three pointers, leadership, assists, rebounds, steals....he has a positive effect every minute of the game. Crazy.

Ya why can't T-Mac play like this guy. Check out this video of the highlights from the game. Baron Davis posterizing Kirlenko. Give it some time, the video is a bit slow loading.

He has been the best player this post season. He has always been this good in terms of skill level, its just that he has taken it to another level with his leadership qualities. The way the guy speaks and represents himself, makes it so easy for the public and his teammates to endear him.

If you're talking about playing hurt, Baron has been playing with a hamstring injury and flu. On top of that, he just recovered from Knee surgery in Februrary. T-mac really needs to learn from this guy. He is just willing his team through.

Tracy doesn't have the heart to put his body on the line like BD. On open fast breaks, it's much easier for him to fire up a 3 pointer instead of waltzing down to the rim for a dunk and a foul. I think Tracy CAN play like BD but he chooses not to, even in playoff elimination games. In my book, Tracy won't live down the crunch time of those two games for a looooooong time. Not that this is news, but he just isn't the "alpha male" personality type to the extent that BD is.

How could the Rockets be undefeated being up 2-0 with homecourt advantage?

They were up 2-0 on the Mavs just 2 years ago, and had 3 games left at the Toy Box....which.....at that point....is HCA.
