The way the Spurs have been playing rough with the Suns this series is exactly what I've been yelling for us to do when playing the Suns. well minus the dirty shots, of course, especially the achilles kicking thing, thats dangerous.
No I'm not kidding. Just like his stupid foul on Dirk cost them a shot at the championship last season and made everyone forgot his prior 3 point shot, his 3 TOs late (including two brainless passes) would have made him the donkey had the Spurs lost. He had his best game of the series but almost (literally) threw it all away. For a couple of minutes late, it looked like neither team wanted it. I think a major turning point was Barbosa's foul while Manu took the 3 pointer. The Spurs started scoring again after that. That was some kind of game. For the most part, it erased the crud of Cavs/Nets. I hated to see it, but I have to admit Bowen's shot was an incredibly dramatic signature to this game. The only thing that could top it is if Horry throw's the dagger in a game 7.
Game 6 will be a tough game again. Spurs are not like the Cavs or even the Pistons where they'll let you back into the series. Like you said, I HOPE barbosa shows up, but he has been ineffective for the whole series. The Spurs, with Tim Duncan, really do a great job to stop his penetration. And I thought that was partly the problem in Game 5. With no Amare, Duncan was free to roam on defense. Yes, this meant that Thomas had wide open jumpers, but somehow Thomas went away from this in the 4th quarter, when he passed on a few open jumpers.
I'm hoping somebody levels Bowen before it's all over. Would funny be if the Spurs were handing out a blowout in game 6 and in the final minutes Suns provoke Bowen and knock him out so that he gets a hefty suspension in the next series. Would be justice in my book and Bowen deserves it for all I care. However I think Suns bounce back with Amare going crazy on Duncan. Ooh the drama of a game 7 in Phoenix, I can already hear the the thundering boos from the crowd when Horry steps on the court for the first time. Could be one for the ages!!!
The Spurs are giving the Suns the same treatment that the Jazz gave the Rockets, "let's get physical." The Spurs are resorting to some dirty tactics which are working. I look for the series to end tonight. The Spurs are too savy to let the Suns take them back to their homecourt. A Spurs/Jazz Western Conference Finals: the NBA's equivalent of mud-wrestling.
Though not likely- I really hope the Suns force a game 7. It would be awesome! Hope the Suns could beat the Spurs in this series. Does not seem right that the Spurs could win a series playing so dirty.
Here it goes. I am a man. Men loves dirty things like: politics and of course vagina. I love "dirty" things. GO "DIRTY" SPURS GO!!!!!!!
man francisco elson friggin' sucks. he can't even grab the damn ball when it goes right to him. and duncan is practically playing worse than elson in the 1st quarter. come on dammit.
elson has flippers for hands. he's got to be close to the record for most times knocking the ball out of bounds while going for a rebound in a half.
dammit, duncan's gonna break hakeem's playoff block record of 10. already at 8 with more than 20 minutes to go. stop getting blocked phoenix! especially amare.
Man some of those blocks are clear fouls on Duncan but Amare is getting the cold treatment by the refs.
F'n mike breen with the tongue slip. "coming sunday spurs suns game 7, or game one spurs houston.... uhh i mean utah. sorry jeff" just rub it in
The Spurs are just scary solid...scary! Genobili is a Suns killer, he steps up when it counts and has done so in the past. Parker is too good and can get inside with ease, the Suns have no answer for him. Then you have the legendary Tim Duncan...WOW! What a player! He plays BOTH ends of the court like few others can, which is why he's the best. Then you add the Spurs' ridiculous chemistry built over years of STABILITY and experience to the mix, and you have a championship team in the making. One of the more disciplined teams I've ever seen. And did I already mention that Tim Duncan is a legend? I haven't enjoyed watching such a fundamentally sound big man play since Dream. No wonder Dream tutored him in the past, he's the only guy in the entire league that can hold his jocks.
