I didn't know Rocket River was such a big Spurs fan. He's making ridiculous comments and going a bit overboard with his Spurs homerism. Spurs got hosed? Well, don't cry for them too much just yet because they're STILL favored to win the series, especially if the league makes a ridiculous judgement and decides to suspend Amare for the next game. These are the playoffs, not a regular season games. Horry should be the ONLY one suspended from both teams for not just body slamming Nash, but also for throwing that elbow in Raja's face. It's clear beyond any doubt that he was looking for trouble and had no qualms about getting in a fight if need be. Anyways, now there is another storyline from the series...
I remind the CLUTCHFANS enough of the Rockets ClutchCity championships. what kind of thumping do you think I give the Spurs fans?? The dude in DC who dissed Sam Cassell (he hated Sam), we met again at a friends wedding, he NEVER talked to me. Tinman wins again. NEVER HATE ON CLUTCHCITY!! NEVER DISRESPECT ROCKET HEROES!!
why diss on nash? if our PGs can be 1/2 as good as Nash or half as tough. no, we have 3 point shootin, no assists giving PGs. you know you'd give your left testicle if we got Nash.
It happens man, and the Spurs will have/have had their days too. But it wasn't a "game decider" in this case, IMO. The Spurs had a LOT more to do with that. But sorry for the miscommunication on my part... Before that, I saw him getting up to check himself in or scratch his butt or something, but upon further review you're right. Amare might've made the biggest mistake of his career. As I said before, he has a Steve Francis brain: just not too bright up there.
nash did make that foul look much worse than it was. you can see him closing his eyes and then quickly peakin through to see if the acting job was good enough. then jumps back immediately. even the knee to the nuts foul by bown..nash rolled over like 3 times.
I love Bob as much as anyone (except maybe you), but for him to body check the other team's best player at the end of the game like that was awful. My respect for him went down a notch. I'll say it first: If the Spurs win Wednesday (Amare is gone for sure), close out the series and win the championship, it will be tainted.
yeah, horry was wrong for that. he should have bumped Ginobli cause Robert would have hit that 3 to tie the game. I think the EVIL SPURS - Flopnobli, Goose Bowen poisoned his mind. Someone save him. Black = Evil Spurs Red = Rocket Hero
Amare was more or less walking the sidelines, but he might still get suspended. Horry, on the other hand, will almost definitely be suspended not just for the flagrant, but mostly for throwing a blatant elbow to Raja's face. I am not happy with Horry right now, although I do love the guy and he's been one of my fav players of all time.
i don't like shaq, but he can say some funny things. "life ain't fair. they don't even let you take toothpaste on an airplane anymore." which i took to mean he thought amare should be suspended.
The rule says you can't leave the bench during a fight. I didn't see a fight. They went up to check on Nash who was lying down. The altercation started afterwards, and they did return to the bench. When is it ok to leave the bench area otherwise? SO if a player gets hurt - the guys on the bench can't go over to help them or check on them - even if there's no fight going on?
Kenny Smith made an excellent point, that the officials had the situation under control. Is Stoudemire a registered nurse? Did he have a band-aid? If not, stay on the bench.
There wasn't a situation when the guys left the bench....and Amare did have to check-in to the game. And you don't have to be a registered nurse to see if your teammate is ok. I don't even think amare saw the foul. Looks like he left the bench to check in, was walking to the scorer's table, saw something was up - and then was pulled back. That doesn't deserve a suspension.
Yep, agreed. Unless Stoudemire stayed at a Holiday Inn last night and somehow added a medical degree to that middle school education of his.
Horry was just pissed that he kept blowing his defensive assignments tonight. Maybe Big Shot Rob wanted a few days off.
Bob committed the flagrant 2 AND threw the only blow in the altercation. If there are suspensions he has to be included, most reasonably for 2 games. Heck they suspended Bell last year for less within the flow of a game, and Bell didn't get up and throw a blow right after. Will be an interesting call. I hope they do nothing, but my guess is Stoud and Diaw for 1 game, Horry for 2.
