    Good point.

That was a shameful act by Rocket fans in attendance.

I mean it would be totally warranted if Karl Malone or John Stockton were down, writhing in pain while Clutch Bear went around giving out party hats and blowhorns, and the crowd cheered wildly....

...but Deron Williams is a nice kid.

That's why I'm going to be $20 up because I bet some of my friends and coworkers that the Lakers aren't even going to win 1 game.

Phil Jackon can make adjustments and what not because he's apparently good at that, but what can he do? Phoenix literally have an All-Star squad out there. They don't have any above average defenders outside of Kobe and Odom. They don't have much of anything that, with "adjustments", can get them a win.

    I despise them all.

I despise Mavs and Suns more than the Lakers though.

I heard collin commenting the fan shouldn't cheer on when any player getting injured. But still, I'm not convince that majority of the fan are cheering for the very fact that kobe goes down. They coulda been cheering on lots of things.

I just can't stand Nash or Amare. I used to dislike Amare more because his whole game was driving to the basket and drawing a foul literally everytime. Nash just annoys me because he's so good. At least he doesn't have the long hair anymore. Honestly though if I had to watch one team outside of the Rockets it would be the Suns.

I think they might get more love from the Rox's fan if they were in the Eastern conference. ;)

I like Nash no matter where he goes.

Amare though will be a punk no matter where he goes.

Suns also have an owner who is just as classless as Cuban. Difference is Cuban is more outspoken so he is more looked at.

it's a good thing i put money on the sweep. most of the lakers just look like they want the season to be over. no one is trying at all.

It's time to put Bynum in there. He's raw and not playoff tested, but he's big and he's active. He'll make Amare work some. If he can control his fouling, Bynum can help the Lakers slow the Suns down a bit. Not a lot, a bit.

    Bynum
    Turiaf
    Odom
    Walton
    Bryant

Never done it before but why not? Their tweaking with Farmar and Parker isn't exactly doing wonders.

Great game. Doug Collins was funny continually saying Kobe is a winner all the while Barbosa is slicing right past him over and over.

Kenny making excuses for the Lakers talking about their lineup and yada yada yada. I don't remember anyone making excuses for the Suns last year.

Lakers need to get their act together. They'd better win their home games.

Really? I find that it's hard to root for the lakers no matter what, especially with all the 'hype' and media attention. I can't believe some people actually mentioned about how this will be a competitive series.

The Lakers team this year does not compare to last year's team. The gap has widened greatly between the two teams this year.

Let's just get this one over with.

i guess you weren't watching game 2 of Utah and Houston when Battier and Williams collided. b/c if you were, you would have heard our crowd chanting Utah sucks and some fans screaming "get up you p***y."

that sure was classy on our part.

edit: i see Major already pointed that out.

    a) I was in attendance for our Game 2, and I'd like to throw in the point that the crowd (as a whole) was not cheering/booing Deron Williams going down. When Shane was called for the foul (Deron clearly plowed into him), the crowd cascaded the boos on the refs which than led to the Utah Sucks chant. The chant definitely was toeing the line, but again I'd say that it wasn't directed at Deron. When he got up, there was a switch to cheers. All that said, the people mocking him were indeed classless and I just hope they thought it was a soccer dive.

    b) There's some seriously wound up and upset Laker fans, judging by their boards. (remember kids! Lurk, don't troll!). Apparently there is a lot of talk of locker room issues, and Smush Parker is public enemy number 1 in that regard. Pretty funny to see Kwame defenders (not unlike the Stromile Swift defenders and Bonzi defenders). If you thought we were constantly on Dawson's case (unfairly, I say), you should see the rip jobs they give Kupchak (deservedly). There was even an article in the LA Times hinting that Kobe may consider getting out if things don't improve (welcome to the bed you made).

Kobe's defense at this point has clearly taken a step back and is almost pure reputation. His brief foray as a shutdown defender is long past, and the Lakers have to play true team defense to get stops. This roster doesn't at all. Some could use Game 2 to say "see, Kobe HAS to go for 50 to keep things close" but they scored 98! You aren't beating ANYONE when your turnstile defense allows 120+, I don't care if it is Phoenix.

I have a hard time seeing this get past 5 games, but Phil Jackson teams have a way of defying those odds.

the chant shouldve have waited regardless if it was directed towards the ref. it was bad timing.

I almost feel sorry for Kobe with his team getting spanked that bad in front of a big national audience. Second thought, NOT!!, it isn't like Kobe doesn't have 3 rings Shaq fitted for him. If he never wins another playoff series he will have more than a lot of more deserving players who never got to the right team or just happened to encourter Jordan or Hakeem in their primes.

If it ain't the Rockets, I hope it is the Suns.

After that Detroit or Miami would be the most acceptable.
