wow, pretty surprising so far, but 11 point deficit is nothing to the suns

I agree, stupid ABC is the only TV channel does that camera angle. It makes me dizzy.

It's clear that the Lakers match up pretty well with the Suns; they've those long, athletic players at almost every position and that gives the Suns fits.

That being said, the Suns don't look like they're taking the Lakers too seriously right now. Hopefully the Lakers can steal a game or two to force them to play 'all out' and then the fun can start.

I probably should've seen it coming considering the bravado festival Amare and D'Antoni put on before the game.

Oh, and that "worthless" Lamar Odom is once again playing terrific against the Suns.

    Oh II, and GO LAKERS!

    I sense a Rockets/Jazz game 1 scenario.

when did luke walton turn into the worst finisher in nba history? he's missed 2 point blank shots in this game and seems to miss at least 2 in every lakers game i've watched the last month or so. add to that kwame blowing a dunk and farmar just missing an easy layup and then managing to knock the rebound away from turiaf (who could've put it back in) to start a fastbreak where his man, nash, hit a 3, and the whole lakers team is just atrocious at finishing right now.

Well, I guess it was fun while it lasted...

On a side note, anyone surprised at the comments Amare and D'A made prior to the game? I can understand confidence, but I thought they were extremely undiplomatic, cocky and just plain disrespectful to their opponents.

    Pride Goeth Before a Fall...

The one thing about the Lakers though is that they're a completely different team when they play defense. That's really the ONLY thing keeping them from playing consistently well. They lost a lot of games after the ASG because of their lack of commitment to defense (Phil Jax said as much).

The Suns, on the other hand, are hopeless on defense and I still think that the Spurs will dismantle them.

damn, are you kidding me on that last 3 by kobe? he never makes that shot.

3 straight 3's and on the one pass to a wide open cook, cook bricks it. and kwame added 2 more blown layups and then let amare completely outhustle him for that loose ball that led to marion's alleyoop.

no way. there's a reason why the US olympics team isn't a Dream Team. Jordan got it done in an era full of future hall of famers.

The Phoenix Suns is a playstation offense and team willn't win a championship I have said that all season. Defense wins titles look for Houston or San Antonio to come out of the west. Screw Dallas and Phoenix great regular season teams. The goal gets smaller in the playoffs defenses tighten up and that cute ball is out. So all you Phoenix lovers look for the Lakers to beat your Suns and watch Golden State scare the hell out of Dallas.

Don't be to sure. The Lakes are VERY familiar with the Suns, and should have knocked them out of the playoffs last year.

I understand that you always dog every Laker not named Kobe, but the Lakers wouldn't be leading right now without the defensive effort his teammates put forth.

    Give credit when it's due...

Ummm, no. Jordan used to hit crazy shots like that all the time. Against superior players and teams.
