Bulls play like that on Tuesday, and they lose. Wade and Shaq are going to get every call; Bulls have to make three-pointers. Kudos to Skiles for going away from his paramour (Duhon) and letting Gordon run the point -- as he did so well last winter when Hinrich was out with foul trouble. Thabo was brilliant.
O'neal is whistled badly today. I am sort of worried about Yao now. You know, sometimes ref can really affect the results.
If I am the Bulls, I wouldn't be feeling too good about this game. The Heat didn't play very well at all and they still had a chance to steal that game away. Deng had the game of his life and I doubt he will have a repeat performance for the rest of the series. I like this young Bulls team though. They play tough and disciplined defense, they're easy to root for.
It woulda been a blowout if bull hit those 3's like they normally do. They are ranked 2nd in 3 pointer FG% behind the Sun.
Bulls got more than their fair share of calls. 31 fouls on the Heat, 24 on the Bulls. Overall too many ticky tacky calls both ways--this is the playoffs refs. Other calls went the Bulls way too, the obvious goaltending call that wasn't called was a 4 point swing for the Bulls at the end of the first half. Despite the above, the Bulls I thought outplayed the Heat. Outrebounded them big time and Deng was the best player today. Either way I don't see the winner getting by Detroit. Mia will be too beaten down if they survive and Detroit is just better than Chi. Overall I am not impressed with Chicago. Good guards and swingmen but I don't see any regular horse (particularly on the interior) to go to when the going gets tough. Perimeter offense only gets you so far, they don't have a Steve Nash either.
That's the thing with the Eastern Conference. All 4 teams that played just now, I don't see them competing with the West -- each are too flawed. I'll be shocked if the Pistons don't make it to the finals.
I really like the Bulls team with all their young guys, but they just aren`t ready yet, and don`t seem to have figured out, who they are. But if they can stay together I can see them being real contenders in a year or two. The Heat? They are scary... they aren`t a realy good team, but if they can stay close till the end, DWade will just make things happen, and can take over at any time. That being said, Detroit should make it to the finals, they can only be beat by themselves (or DWade...).
I like the Bulls, but I get a feeling that they will have those droughts near the end when the opposing defense tightens up. They really need a good back-to-the-basket player.
After seeing today's game, I now firmly believe that the Heat will win the East again and possibly the NBA championship depending on who they play in the West (if it's us or the Spurs they will lose).
Yes he did. Shaq obviously will get fined heavily for his very harsh comments. I'm still glad the Bulls won, but some of the fouls both ways were a joke.
Wow....people think th TC crowd is bad?!? This Chicago crowd is so quiet. Like a stadium full of suits.
Nice end to the quarter for Nocioni. 4 point play followed by a 3 at the buzzer. 7 points in 10 seconds
