kwame barely hit diaw. first of all, the only thing kwame's elbow hit was diaw arm which was above kwame's arm. kwame basically raised his arm up a little hard and diaw fell back like he got shot. now kwame did stand over him afterwards, but it looked worse than it was. just like bell's first flop on kobe pushing off today. just like both of kwame's offensive fouls. the suns may have taken the flopping mantle for the nba now.

as for the clothesline, it definitely was as bad as it looked. right to the neck. if not artest, then compare it to posey running hinrich over. it was worse than that. and posey doesn't have artest's reputation that i know of.

Kobe said he hopes there isn't a suspension as well.

There's no way I'm missing game 6. I never thought I'd cheer for Kobe Bryant, but I'm going to.

Turiaff or some other scrub on the Lakers needs to give a flagrant foul to either Marion or Nash as retaliation next game....if Raja is gonna go after the Lakers' star player then the Lakers should do the same to the Suns as oppossed to going after Raja

Bell's stupid play shows that the Suns don't know how to play rough and physical. It's outside their nature, so when one of them tries to do something tough, they go way outside the boundaries of the rules.

I like physical play but that deliberate clotheslining was a cheap shot. He will DEFINITELY miss at least game 6 and I hope the Lakers blow them off the court.

It makes me sick to my stomach to say I hope the Lakers win, but this is the ONE time.

Here are some quotes of the players:

Nash: I think the playoffs bring the best out in everybody. All of us choirboys are living up to our reputations.

Bell: It's been a pretty physical series, and at that point in time I had caught another elbow in the jaw and I lost my head and overreacted to it. It could have cost my team and for that I'm sorry.

Bryant: That's how I grew up playing basketball in Philadelphia. I love playing that style. It excites me more than anything.

Diaw: There were a couple of elbows thrown. I saw Raja on the floor twice before he got ejected. Raja got hit many times. It probably was frustration.

Which foul was more dangerous, Walton on Thomas or this one Bell on Kobe? It was a hard foul, and it deserved the T. What do you mean by "they go way outside the boundaries of the rules"? He stopped Kobe with full strength, it didn't go directly for the neck, but rather the whole upper body, Kobe tried to slip away, and Bell got the neck. If they ejected Walton for that dangerous and unnecessary (as his father said) hard foul, this wouldn't even be a serie.

No, he went for the neck directly. And there was an act of throw-down after that.

Edit, the picture above just showed that.

What's funny is Raja's excuse for taking down was from a magical elbow that did not hit him. He flopped twice, clearly shown in the post game show. I'm not sure why he feel justified.

    Go Suns.

Extend the series to 7 so Sam could rest his back.

I think we all know Kobe loves that style... I didn't realize he liked it in basketball too though.

You and I must not be looking at the same video. This was a deliberate, premeditated clotheslining. Boundaries get pushed. If the NBA doesn't suspend Bell at least one game for this, it's guaranteed something worse will happen. The NBA can't afford to let the worms out of the can. They must clearly signal that premeditated cheap shots like this one will not be tolerated.

I'll say it again: You and I must not be looking at the same video. If Kobe did that to Marion or Bell or Nash, I would also call for him to be suspended a game or two.

Reja Bell needs to be suspended for his act. To make things worse, he is a proven flopper and he has nothing to be angry about.

If he wants Kobe to go down on him, that's another story. :) Case closed.

I am NOT against Bell's suspension for that. But I do think NBA has to be consistent on regulating unsportsmanship. Bowen wasn't suspended for undercuting VC, Kobe, and Allen or Karate-kicking Wally. They should start with the championship team. I simply ask you this, is Bell's clotheslining "cheapshot" or Walton's "hard foul" on Thomas more dangerous? Kobe was NOT in the air, but Thomas was, with lots of momentum. Which one hurts more? I am all for NBA to take care of their business, get rid of all the flopping and those hard fouls. I don't understand the perception, if it's under the basket, any hard foul is understandable, because "no layup is allowed". But, hard foul on the court outside of the restriction area is just "cheapshot", and "way out of boundaries of rules"?

There's a reason why everything above chest should be more protected.
Because it's fragile. You hit people on the head to prevent a layup, it's a flagrant, on hands or torso, it's not.

Bell didn't just clothline Kobe, he literally clothlined him and pushed him on the face all the way down to the floor, then worn that victorious smirk. Almost remind me WWF.

And in the post game interview he literally said he was to revenge, not to
go for a play. And that's a suspension for sure. Especially if you consider
how Posy and Artest were suspended.
