LOL! Anyone catch the postgame conference? Nellie is up to his usual antics, saying that they feel "extremely lucky" to have won two games against such a great team...and "proving Charles Barkley wrong (smiling)...this is the first time he's been wrong! (sarcasm)".

Don Nelson just gave some credit to Barkley for motivation.....Is anyone else tired of hearing interviews where people talk about Barkley? I've seen interviews where Boozer, Nelson and Dwade all have credited Barkley as their inspiration...I kinda wish he'd just comment on the games instead of becoming part of the news

 

I don't think this is a surprise anymore, Dallas is screwed bigtime, I don't think they can beat the warriors 4 of 7 times. If we could only finish off the j*zz in 5, we could get a worn out Mavs team or an 8 seed.

 

I got it. That's why he is always lobbying for Dirk to be the most valuable PLAYER.

He's always been one of my favorite people in this league. I still remember during the playoffs against the Rockets when he went from looking serious and calling a play on an inbound to cracking a big smile with T-Mac. He's just a light-hearted happy-go-lucky type of fella, and he's a basketball mastermind.

i think avery johnson is kind of delusional in the coference, "... you guys are focusing on his(dirk)'s offense, but we also need his defense. offense and defense, defense and ofense, ..." he just lost his composure as well as his tem tonight.

 

Dallas and Houston will be known as being part of the biggest upsets in playoff history, but on opposite spectrums.

Houston is known as the only 6th seed(1995?) to win a championship in playoff HISTORY.

Dallas will be known as the only team to lose to an 8th seed in playoff HISTORY.

 

It's happened at least twice before.

 

That is probably the first time in the 8 years that Dirk's been in the league where someone said they needed his defense. That's reaching right there. It's like, "Well..we not only need Ben Wallace's defensive presence, we also need him to be effective on the offensive end as well. Defense and offense; offense and defense"

Isn't Josh Howard supposed to be one of the better defenders in the league? why doesnt he get a turn at Baron Davis.

 

Mutumbo led his 8th seed Nuggets to an upset over the 1st seed Sonics. The video of Mutumbo falling on his back and holding the ball up in joy is one of the most memorable moments in playoff history.
