he should have got an ejection, end of story, despite the mav fan above who thinks it was a flop by davis. Terry flat body slammed him for no reason. If it was jackson or davis, they get ejected and possibly a suspension.

I think GS will fizzle because of the lost opportunity and the choke job. They deserve to lose. They cost themselves a good chance to win in game 2 IMO because I sensed the Mavs were ready to fold. Then they gagged up a furball in game 5. My gut feeling is they will run out of gas.

My sense is that they will beat the crap out of Dallas. They have been the better team in this series, they still have the matchups in their favor and they are still playing with house money, with a stronger purpose to close them out in front of their fans.

Maybe if they had any expectations i'd buy the fold job in game 5 playing a role, but they know nobody expects them to beat dallas and they have said as much all series. I think the fact the mavericks let a 20 pt lead in a must win game at home get away should be a far more telling factor here.

But that game was over. Up 4 with 6 seconds left...

GS still had a chance. Fine, don't call the foul. There was only 22 seconds left anyways. If GS didn't want to foul the game would be over. I'm fine with that. :D

    Use your damn brain

this is what i am thinking. they are def getting back to their cocky selves. if GSW loses...no one is going to even remember this series.

BUT if dallas loses..this series will pop up in every stat and situation about a #1 seed...so i dont care what dallas says..the pressure on dallas is WAYYYYYYY greater than gsw.

Yes yes and yes. I can feel it too.

Look. Games 1/3/4, GSW put Dallas to sleep and beat them up. They did that thing Willie Nelson's wife did - let him pass out on the bed, sewed the sheets together so he was trapped inside, got a broom, and beat the crap out of him. But it was fight she could win because a) he was asleep b) he was sewn in the sheets.

Game 5 was not a suckerpunch to a comatose opponent. Dallas was at their best, and the Warriors took the punches like men and damn near took the game. Dallas had to pull 50 rabbits out of the hat late - and GS got tentative, no doubt - to win that game. If anything, that was the first game Dallas played at full throttle. And Golden State met the challenge. They lost, but it actually gave me confidence that they could win even without Don Nelsons witchcraft and potions to makee the Mavs drowsy. That game was no choke - it was for real. And GSW can hang. They can more-than-hang.

They can win. I am so pumped. I have lived in this basketball wasteland called Northen California since 99, and I am so psyched to see this. Go Warrriors.

PS: No one here in SF gives a crap. It's like "this weekend the A's dropped two of three to the Devil Rays, Barry Bonds hit homer 742, and the Warriors went up 3-1 in their best of seven series against Dallas. More sports after the break." BITE ME this is a story of biblical proportions.

The Warriors weren't just celebrating. They tried to milk the clock, which is clearly not their game, and wound up shooting rushed 3-pointers instead of getting their shots in the flow of the offense. Had they played their normal game for another minute or two, this series would likely be over.

You'd think being down 3-2 would give these radio announcers a little humility in DFW. They are proclaiming this series over (some chick) because the last 3-minutes of game 5.

Mind you, they are not saying the Mavs have a chance, which I think they do (albeit a minute one) but they're saying, it's over, the Mavs are going to win it, that's funny as heck.

I want you to be right, but this "no expectations" line about the Warriors is nonsense. Ever since they won game 1 there have been expectations, which have ramped up with each win. Up by 9 with 3 minutes left in game 5 and and then choking proves there are some expectations and pressure on them. They know tonight is their last shot and Avery Johnson correctly said the Warriors have "10,000 lbs" on their shoulders. When a team is up 3-1, you cannot deny there are major expectations they will close out a series. If you believe otherwise then you are free to be wrong.

Hopefully the Warriors will play their most focused game and win. But the way Dallas steamrolled them with a 15-0 closing run last game, the onus has shifted back to them. There will be finger-pointing and blame to go around if the Warriors fail to advance.

    1) Dallas had a 20 pt lead cut to 7 in a matter of minutes in a half. Where is the psychology of how they are feeling? They played as well as they could, and it took a last ditch effort by dirk to pull out a must win game at home.

    2) The warriors were never expected to be in this position, and while they may have some added pressure to win it tonight, it's not like this team was expected to go anywhere in the playoffs so I don't see them getting caught up in the oh my god we are facing dallas mentality.

    3) Tonight is not their last shot. They can easily walk into the AAC and beat dallas in a potential game 7. They took dallas' best shot tuesday and had a 9 pt lead with 3:20 left.

A team with it's back against the wall is a lot tougher then not.

Dallas is against the wall - and their whole season and all the expectations is there. They are going to play ferociously.

I predict a Dallas win tonight - perhaps their best game of the series. They are going to fight and claw - and you'll see that Golden state isn't going to top 110 points tonight.

No news on J Rich? I think at most it's a fine or nothing. How can anybody trust a shameless MavePrick fass?
