    Is there a reason for playing our starters 40 min every night? I'm scared for when he have back to back games.

    mchale is an old-school coach, he rewards players min for hard-work rather than performance.

    It's not just that. It's when stuff happens like the Magic putting in subs before we do. We've seen things happening in a similar vein throughout the year.

    After Yao-Mac era, I too am worried about minutes/mileage on our franchise players. I could care less about role players though.

    we don't play them 40 minutes every night. we played them 40 minutes tonight because we don't play again until Thursday and have injuries.

    Next game is Thursday, so I assume Mchale will lay off a bit Monday and give them some rest. The extra minutes shouldn't hurt with such a big break coming up.

    It may not hurt them because of the days off, but it hurts a young talent like Dmo, by sitting his ass on the bench all of the time. He got four minutes, that really pisses me off at Mchale. Unless they plan on trading Dmo, which I hope isn't the case.

    Young talent? Hard to say talent when he has been disappointing while playing meaningful minutes. Also, since they did make a run in the 4th, would you rather have him playing instead of Dwight and Jones?

    Also, who would he replace? And what team would actual trade legitimate assets for D-Mo? At this point, he would just be a salary filler.

    I honestly believe the Rockets will rest Parsons once Lin's back and we get someone for Asik. As for Harden, he's rested for 3 games this year. If you factor in those as 0 minutes played, it's not nearly as bad. And look for Morey to be making deals to shore up the bench between 12/15 and the trade deadline.

    Until then, we'll have to live with this.
