I was really referring to "us" as this year's team. It doesn't do us any good this season unless we use it before the deadline is what I'm saying. Having a reduced payroll isn't going to help us beat the Mavs, Suns, or Spurs in the playoffs. In addition to that, we should probably accept the fact that we'll never be under the cap until either Yao or Tracy retires or gets old. At least 3 years away and probably longer.

And yeah, it's easier to spend other people's money, but I imagine it's also easier to spend money when you have millions upon millions and as your team gets better you more than make up for your purchases in team revenue. I forgot who posted it, but I believe Les is like the 3rd highest owner in terms of profits. I'm not asking him to take on a 50 million dollar contract or anything...just toss the TE at somebody that could help us. We have a championship caliber team when healthy and another player could increase our chances even more. You never know when you'll get this close again.

what do you want the owner to do? you aren't happy when he spends because rox are over the cap with two players such as yao and tmac. but then you say he has to spend more money to get more players because he's a rich guy.

Wells and Snyder are both nearly as tall as Josh and much stronger. I doubt either guy is quicker than him but they are close. Diaw is just overrated.

Where did I ever say I was unhappy because we're over the cap? All I said is that the reality of the situation is that we're going to be over the cap until Yao and/or Tmac is gone or takes a paycut for being old. There's nothing wrong with that, since they're both basically MVP caliber players.
