    Crispee,
    15 players now ---
    C: Cato, Willis, Collier
    PF: Thomas, Griffin, Taylor
    SF: Rice, Williams, Morris, Langhi
    SG: Mobley, Torres
    PF: Francis, Norris, Brown

Stop propping Collier (over Langhi) just because the feline isn't here to espouse the benefits of Collier! ;)

I agree with those who say Jones was let go to catch on somewhere. The Rockets did the same thing with Matt Maloney a couple of years back -- rather than keep him on IR, they simply cut him to give him a chance elsewhere. Brown is probably just on the team for practice purposes. If he did guard Francis well in practice, all the more reason to keep him on for practices to make them more competitive.

15...thx! well I'd say Langhi still might get cut then.

Don't prop Langhi by assuming I was propping Collier over him. ;) I don't think anyone on the roster needs help being propped over Langhi, from what I've seen.

anyhow, I would have put Collier on IR, except for my miscount of 14 players. The shin splints seems to be for real, I guess. I'm thinking that when Collier is healthy, Brown will get "injured." Brown is needed for practice squads...and injuries.

btw: I thought I was propping Collier over TMo, since I don't see a purpose for TMo in the regular rotation, just yet. But that is a guess based on my idea to have a rotation of 5 front court players and 5 backcourt/swing players...with Torres and TMo waiting patiently for their moment, with some garbage minutes. Many here are saying a rotation of 4 frontcourt and 6 backcourt/swing. It will be interesting. There is definitely going to be a lot of screaming at Rudy this year from upset parents who want to see their kids play.

Someone has to wait on the bench.

I wouldnt put Williams in front of Morris either though. Morris is a much better rebounder and he plays pretty good defense. He's shown he can be consistent also. I Think we need to trade Walt off or make him a 12th man. Griffin and Morris need the playing time.

It's going to be some tension filled times for us Air Langhi fans! ;) If anybody replaced Jones, it was Torres and Moochie. I'm sure the Rockets had Jones as an insurance policy if Mooch didn't sign, and then an insurance policy in case they couldn't find a solid 2-guard.

I liked Jones on this team, hope Moochie pans out because many think that Jones could do his job cheaper. With Moochie Jones would be better offf somewhere else.

Why did we lose Nwanko instead of getting rid of Collier?
Nwanko is a stronger and more serviceable player IMO...and he can rebound and do the dirty work inside. Effort from both is a push.
I still have yet to see why Rudy and the rest of the coaching staff is so high on Collier (and, to a lesser extent, Langhi).
Collier has not shown any redeeming qualities. He is a crappy rebounder (Nwanko grabbed more with less playing time) a poor defender, a poor shot blocker, and I have never seen him stick any kind of jumper with consistency. I won't even talk about his post "moves" because they are just plain ugly.
I hope Nwanko finds a place in the league, and I still do not understand why we have kept a class A+ SCRUB like Collier on our team instead of him (how does Collier manage to get injured doing nothing but sucking?!?). If you just want a center for six fouls at least choose someone who's a bit more rugged (Nwanko) and not such a worthless softy!

It's not like Tierre Brown is going to make an impact with the Rox! He's just taking Sean Colson's place....:p

Brown will get the axe too. And more than likely Langhi...

According to 610AM, Rudy said they don't need a 3rd point guard, and Jones was let go before necessary because he had some opportunities to catch on in a true backup role elsewhere, and Rudy didn't want to hurt his chances to catch on.

They also said the roster was at 15 (including Taylor) and needed to be at 12 after the San Antonio game so Langhi probably shouldn't start whippin' the champagne out just yet.

The roster will stay the way it is. It's just that two people will join Taylor on the IR.

The last few years, though, they haven't kept a stacked IR crew. I think for money reasons, so I only see Mo on the IR.

What insurance would Langhi or Brown be anyway. It is highly likely they would not catch on in the NBA and would at best go to Europe. We could easily find help like this if we needed to without paying them to be on IR...

The Rockets will carry 14 players this year: the 12-man roster, Taylor, and one more to join him. Probably Collier to begin the year. Langhi might later replace Collier on IR. Brown will be cut probably.

The Rockets did NOT invest two 2nd rounders on Langhi, exercise the option on his second year, AND feature him as the go-to player in the summer leagues only to cut him now. Langhi will be a Rocket this year unless he's traded.

I'd like to see a Williams/Langhi for one player.

I think we need to keep our 3rd year players in tacked like Cato, Steve, Kenny, and Walt. were always talking about chemistry and the future. You cant always do things for the future because if you do, the future will never get here. To me the future is now its time to make a strong playoff run this year. But next year Eddie and TMo will improve and MoT will be back and it will be time to make a tittle run.

Dan Langhi does not need to be on this team, he might deserve a spot in the Rocky Mountain Revue Hall of Fame. But not the NBA.

They shouldn't have cut Damon Jones,he still could have helped us with his shooting, they should have kept him on the IR and brought him to play when needed.Jones also was signed to a contract, was it non-guaranteed?
