Everything reported that I've read on Savage's injury was a minimum of 4-6 weeks out with it possibly being 8 weeks.
All signs pointed to a sprain, but that could be the case. Don't know why the would rule out surgery so early, if they noticed more significant damage. Sometimes surgery is the lesser evil.

Duane Brown, Brian Cushing, Kareem Jackson, Garrett Graham, JJ Watt, Derek Newton, Whitney Mercilus, Ben Jones, Randy Bullock, DeAndre Hopkins, David Quessenberry, Ryan Griffin, more if you don't restrict it to drafted players. It's not like they purged the entire team in just over a year.
Pretty sure he gave up the sack that Savage got hurt on. Savage going to IR might've opened up a spot for him.

It will be tough to find a weaker lineup that this in the league than the Texans on O. We have probably only 2 pro bowlers in this team, one (Foster) will not play for half season at least and the other one (Brown) also passed his prime. Hopkins could be a good WR but it will be a miracle for him to make the pro-bowl with this kind of QBs throwing to him.
