If Rose had not scored 6 consecutive point down the stretch late in the 4th, the Bulls would not even be in a position to win. He did what he had to do to help his team win despite the turnover. It was just enough to overcome the air and turnover.

So who's the argument for MVP? Lebron? D12? Dirk?

The Bulls are 7-1 against their teams.

In those games Rose has averaged 24.5 points and 6.7 assists.

OK, what the heck. I thought Rose was a quiet and humble kind of guy...why is he flashing gang sign?

Still, that pic does not look good and doesn't help his cause as a good guy off the court which I thought he was.

As soon as that picture appeared in the media Rose came out and apologized for taking it saying it was just a picture he took at a party in freaking college and that it was a bad joke. Not a big deal or reflection of Rose's character at all, Im pretty sure.

Rose has flaws, but he's still way better than the competition. I don't mind Howard or Dirk winning it too. Both are deserving as well.

LeBron shouldn't be in the conversation, both Manu and Kobe are more deserving than him

I think 24.6 points and still 8 assists is pretty impressive. Lebron always gets the hype but what Rose is doing is more impressive right now. With that team and the record they have, he deserves some consideration.

In his world the player with the best stats should be the MVP. So if you don't agree, you must be stupid.

    Rose or Howard

Continues to switch for me. Right now I'm going to go with Rose.

In his world, the best player should be the MVP. Personally I don't agree with that, but I think very few people would argue that Rose is the superior player.

    This should help too ;)

    http://ruthlessblogs.com/2011/03/10/michael-jordan-says-derrick-rose-is-the-mvp-this-season/

CHARLOTTE – Michael Jordan receives massive standing ovations whenever he returns to the United Center, as he will Saturday night for the 20th anniversary celebration of the Bulls first NBA championship in a ceremony with former broadcaster Jim Durham as host.

But there might be a few extra decibels involved given what His Airness said about Derrick Rose in a rare interview Wednesday night.

“MVP of the season,” the Bobcats owner said Wednesday night after the Bulls downed his team 101-84. “He deserves it. He’s playing that well, without a doubt.”

Then Jordan offered that sly smile.

“And if he doesn’t get it, now he will see how I felt a lot of those years,” the Bulls’ Hall of Famer said.

Rose was 2 1/2 when the Bulls won their first championship, and his memories are mostly of the second three-peat. Jordan’s words clearly floored him.

“I wish man,” Rose said. “It’s great that he said that. It’s an honor. I’m speechless. But I’m just trying to keep winning. The award will come if we keep winning. I’m just trying to play hard and aggressive and with an edge.”

Rose said he hopes to pick Jordan’s brains about winning in the future.

“You always know when he’s in the building,” Rose said. “His presence is probably the craziest of all the NBA players who have played this game.”

Rose’s leadership ability has grown in his third and breakout season. But Rose said he doesn’t ever envision leading like Jordan.

“We’re two different people,” Rose said. “He’s more talkative than I am. I’m starting to talk a little more. You can tell being around him he was always vocal with his teammates. Just hearing about some of the stuff he was saying and some of the stuff he did like shooting free throws with his eyes closed, I would never do that.”

Jordan said he’s excited to return.

“It will be fun to see all the old guys, see if everybody is fat like me,” Jordan said. “I guarantee Stacey King will be the biggest.”

To me derrick rose is the mvp and if the bulls have the best record in the east I dont see how anyone can make a legit argument against him.

On another issue I get so tired of people claiming that lebron james stats dont mean anything, it the stupidest argument ever its like saying you know jordan hill is better than amare because.........um i said so

Drose is the mvp does he deserve it over lebron absolutely, but be smart 26.2 pts 7.6 rbs, and 7.1 ast are impressive and lebron is the only person in this league that can produce this type of productivity on the court year after year.

So what next? It seems like soon wins wont mean anything you guys.
