Ah Roseanne probably thought she was going to get away with doing something this stupid with no repercussions simply because she was following the standard set by our POTUS. Too bad that Roseanne isn't bulletproof like Trump is.

It's called money. Roseanne was the biggest sitcom in years for some reason. If they could have parlayed this into a few seasons it would have paid off bigtime for her to sellout her principles that don't actually exist.

I was going to guess she was drunk-tweeting. But, I can believe Ambien as well. Not that it is any kind of excuse. People might be less inhibited when they are drunk or high, but they aren't different people. I made that comparison early on, but I think saying it's the exact same situation isn't right. NFL players can tweet what they want, their speech is only circumscribed at company events. Barr isn't allowed to say racist stuff publicly anywhere. Of course, that might change if an NFL player starts embarrassing the league by tweeting racist stuff. Does that mean ABC is a bigger bully than the NFL? Not really. Unless you want to say comparing black people to apes is an important political idea of the day.
what Roseanne tweeted was offensive, racist, and deserving of condemnation. But it surprises me how far we've come since the days of cartoons depicting Condeleeza Rice pregnant with a monkey, or the LA Times cartoons of her saying "I don't know nuthin' 'bout no luminum tubes". There was very little outrage over those cartoons.

Racism doesn't exist, but reverse racism sure does. I imagine it's like claiming to be color blind...by only noticing injustices against your own creed.
Trump would never do something like this. He would never dress up as Hitler or call Israel a “Nazi state”. His family is Jewish, he loves Israel, and he is a president for all Americans of every demographic.
You do know that Roseanne is Jewish right? You also know that the picture of her dressing up like Hitler and burning gingerbread cookies was a shoot for a Jewish satire magazine right?
