Hinrich's stats are a tad better than TJ:

    Ford
    PPG 7.3
    RPG 3.4
    APG 6.4
    SPG 1.26
    BPG .07
    FG% .378
    FT% .827
    3P% .263
    MPG 27.3

    Hinrich
    PPG 10.8
    RPG 3.1
    APG 5.8
    SPG 1.08
    BPG .25
    FG% .403
    FT% .739
    3P% .384
    MPG 33.9

The only stat that stands out that Kirk is better is points, but Ford would have better stats if he played more than 30 mins.

But, TJ's team is playing WAYYY better than the Bulls. Which I have an argument why TJ should be there over Kirk.

Pretty big discrepancy between the two in shooting percentages. Hinrich shoots a much higher percentage...albeit still not a very good one for a guard.

    NOTEBOOK
STAR SNUB: The Bucks are dumbfounded that point guard T.J. Ford, the assists leader among the league's rookies, was not named to play in the game between the league's top rookies and second-year players during all-star weekend in Los Angeles.

"It's a tragedy," said Porter. "I don't understand it. I don't understand the process. I don't understand why, if this is something that the league, this is supposed to be their weekend, why they would put together a panel that nobody from the league is involved in. They don't leave it up to the ex-players to vote the current players, why would they do that for the rookies?"

The rookie and sophomore teams were selected by an 11-member panel of former coaches and players who are now in the media - Bill Walton, Greg Anthony, Doug Collins, Doc Rivers, Jack Ramsay, Quinn Buckner, Eddie Johnson, Johnny Kerr, Stu Lantz, Steve Mix and Jim Petersen.

Ford shrugged off the fact that he was not named.

"That's out of my control," he said. "They looked at the nine guys that they thought were the best at the time. I feel I should be playing, but it's no problem. Making the playoffs is way much bigger than making the rookie game."

Named to the rookie team were Denver's Carmelo Anthony, Toronto's Chris Bosh, Miami's Udonis Haslem, Washington's Jarvis Hayes, Chicago's Kirk Hinrich, Dallas' Josh Howard, Cleveland's LeBron James, the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Kaman, and Miami's Dwyane Wade.

In past years, Ford would still have a chance to be added as a replacement if one of the rookies was named to play in the All-Star Game. But since the rookie-sophomore game has been moved from Saturday to Friday this year, players will be allowed to participate in both games.

So what if someone dunks on Yao. He'll probably also get a half-dozen blocks. And, will likely throw down on a couple of guys himself. I don't really foresee him being on the losing end when it comes to play near the basket.

Dwyane Wade isn't playing (yes, that is how you spell his first name)? I thought he played last night for the Heat?

Well when i said the rookies would win i was thinking that Yao Ming would not be in the game because of his selection to the allstar game so i now pick the super sophs to bring a win.

I love this kid. He needs to work on his jumpshot, but I still think he could become a star. His playmaking ability is outrageous.

I know, that dunleavy dude made it, he is bad in a mediocre team, boki is kind of good in a kind of good mediocre team, boki should have made it.

The thing with Ford is that he is the perfect player for an All-Star team, especially one with Bron and Melo. For those of you who havn't seen him play, TJ is the quintesential (sp?) 1. I dont know how he does it, but he sees that guys are gonna be open before they do and delivers the ball perfectly for them to score. TJ Ford will lead the NBA in assists for years. I dont know their financial situation, but the Bucks are a good post away from contending in the east and they are young.

Mike dunlevy, while not worth the lottery pick, is a pretty decent player. He can stroke the 3, slash, and also get some boards. I would trade Boki for him any day. Hell I would even trade Boki and Piatkowski and a 2nd round pick for him right now, esp with our need for a reliable outside shot.

Dude, Dunleavy sucks, ok he might be better than boki right now, i will give you that, but there are probably like 10 players that deserve to be in the game before him.

hold on ... are you kidding me? the sophomore team is monster! i think the rookie team has no chance.

time for Yao to bounce it off LeBron's head and hit a three when the game is already over!

Agree with this no doubt. It would be scary if they get someone like Emeka Okafor in June.

I'd rather watch TJ in the playoffs more than a rookie/sophomore game anyday.

I think Carmelo Anthony will be the best player on the floor, but the sophomores should win easily.
