SF3 coming back to houston was not a good news for brooks

Well, I certainly hope you're right in your assesment. Personally, I don't see it. Especially not at this point. If he dominate preseason... then maybe. But I really can't see how he can move ahead of James, Francis, Head and/or Alston.

Let's hope Brooks will be our Sam Cassell for our championship run this year. :D

...JVG is gone and Novak still doesn't look like an NBA player.

Yeah, B. Roy was a stud coming out of college and NBA ready. I watched him at UW. I haven't watched Brooks, but still excited about him. Main thing I liked about the pick was that he had two important tools, speed and a shot.

Novak's growth was stunted under JVG. I still have hope in him to become a Kyle Korver for us... great shooter that can do absolute jack apart from that.

To tell the truth he's the worst defender & rebounder PF I've ever seen. :(

Brooks was a stud coming out of college and appears to be NBA ready as well.

I'm biased, though - I'm a Duck fan here to read up on what you guys think of Brooks so far. I've been really excited to see how well he did in the SL, and it's nice to see that most of you seem impressed with him. He really is a good kid and I think he'll stick in the league for many years, though I admit I know a lot less about the NBA than I do about the college game. Seems like just yesterday I was sitting in Mac Court watching his true freshman home debut. Time flies.

my last post meant to say francis may be a better scorer than brooks (although brooks isnt too shabby himself) but brooks beats him and james in every aspect of point guard play.

Landry legitimately had better stats, AND is far less likely to turn into Tractor Traylor.

I think this guy will play well for us this year.. a spark off the bench... just need to limit his minutes, let him slowly develop and not hit that rookie wall...(which wont be problem anyways)

I have read that Rick was watching Aaron's game just because he lived in Oregon

I've gotten my hopes up way too many times to get excited about summer league production anymore.

This means absolutely nothing. Really: Nothing. I watched a couple games, too, and the guy might have game, but really the only thing we can know for sure from this is that he can shoot and he's athletic. These games don't mean a damn thing otherwise.

Doesn't really matter if he plays much this year since we have Stevie and Mike who are in their thirties. But I think Aaron is our future PG, in a few years he'll be lighting it up.

Lucas wasn't a rookie, he was in his 3rd summer league. And he also had already played at least 1 season in the NBA. Lucas dominated b/c of experience, Brooks came in from college and just wrecked.
