It happens. I'd be fine with it.

I know right. And last i heard Simmons had made about 12 attemps but all were end of shot clock or quarter attempts.

Simmons has been playing well all season where Mitchell has come on more in the 2nd half.
Simmons got my vote for that reason.
Even though Simmons was in the NBA last season (but didn't play) him and Mitchell are both 21.
I do like the idea of co-ROTY as someone suggested.

Do you mean Utah's surge in the 2nd Half? Mitchell's best month was December (23 ppg on an eye-raising 61% TS%), but Utah hadn't learned how to win until late January.

Mitchell had a decent November for a Rookie, but he's been very good from start of December on.

As much as I hate the Jazz, Mitchell. I don't consider Simmons a rookie, it's annoying how non-rookies are eligible if they didn't play their first year. They have a big advantage even if they don't play.

Simmons has been the better player overall though.

Simmons has already sacrificed #'s for wins w/Embiid (different stat line when JE isn't there)....and he's still putting up 17,8, and 8. And, Dude can defend just about anyone.

Ben is a once in a generation talent, who is just getting started.

Folks will rue the day if they don't give ROY to this guy.
