You must be smoking something good if you think every clutchfans poster is expecting a a borderline all-star from a non-lottery pick.
Well count me as a major doubter of Andersen. I think he's good enough to back up Brian Cook. Taylor has showed nothing. I may be starting to come around on Budinger. Still have to remember its just Summer league. I didnt think he would make it in the league before the Rockets drafted him.
I think Joey Dorsey will fit the Run and Gun style we're employing. His rebounding will help start the break, and he runs the floor well with an ability to finish strong at the rim. He's no brainiac but he's a more than willing defender... I could see him breaking in the rotation especially since he's the only shot blocker on the roster ATM. Budinger looks promising, but I'd like to see him perform against real competition in a setting where players defend. So far, he looks decent all-around on offense and has an obviously sweet looking stroke. Not sure if he is capable of defending quality swings in the NBA but whatever. Taylor's shooting form looks awkard, however, he does put a nice arch on his shots.
How much you selling your stash for? I want to see all these David Anderson future all-star posts. The GARM is going to be alot of fun to read, after I get your stuff. Let's party it up!
Budinger: If there is no trades that clear roster space, I think he'll go overseas. Otherwise, I think he'll disappoint a lot of people in the beginning of the season. Though I believe he'll "get it" by mid-season and start improving a lot. Taylor: I believe he'll take Wafer's roster spot. Based on him playing in the summer league, I see him having consistency issues. Few games I think he'll score a lot, but then the next game he'll miss a lot. Anderson: I'm not high on him, but hopefully he pans out. I'm more high on Dorsey then him.
i think we'll make the playoffs this year, which is unfortunate b/c we should be rebuilding and really go young ala portland.
I'm hoping C-Bud can be another Mobley or Landry who aren't expected to play much then come in and win a spot and actually contribute.
Rookies tend to be very inconsistent. Not everyone is Albert Pujols. Especially mid-range rookies like the ones we have. We basically got a bunch of mid-level rookies for low-level prices. But no immediate superstars. So they will make a bunch of rookie mistakes and boneheaded plays. Next year is going to be a long year.
I expect Budinger to be the next Dan Majerle, he can shoot and take it to the rim, it seems as though his skills will translate well in the nba because he is athletic enough to make the transition. I could see him being a career 15+ guy and maybe he becomes more dominant than Dan ever was.
That would be awesome. Majerle was also a good defender though and had some of the grit that Budinger arguably lacks. The hops, shooting, and skin color do match.
I see Taylor as the best of the group but Budinger will probably contribute more this season. I'm pretty high on Sergio Lull, I have been following him all year and I feel he can be a great backup to Brooks.
C-Bud will be a surprise no matter what. Personally, I think he will be the "pick of the litter" regardless where he ends up. He's got "it." If he sets training camp and preseason on fire, watch out. History, says he won't do much his rookie season, but I think he will.
"C-Bud" will make it the Rookie vs, Sophmore team. Its not like there were elite shooting guards drafted anyways. As along as he gets some decent burn, I don't see how he can't be the 3rd guard behind Harden and Evans on the team.
Maybe Lull can afford some socks when he signs with the Rockets. And what is that black type on yes leg by the way?
