cite some reasonable and logical explanations on why Rondo wasn't suspended for either altercations then.

if you're going to go into that "those weren't dirty plays/those weren't flagrant fouls" then I do ask that you back up your reasons why they weren't.

when did rondo throw a punch at hinrich? was it during the same incident or later on?

you can almost guarantee some kind of fight in tonight's game.

After he threw Hinrich down and Hinrich got back up to confront him, in the little scrum and pushing match, Rondo threw an elbow that whiffed as badly as his 3s.

he swung at hinrich after kirk pushed him and then the ref got in the way. it was one of those last ditched efforts of being "tough". funny how a player can throw another player down AND take a swing at him and not get suspended but if you step on the court or chase after a ref for making a bulls*t call in Phoenix in 1995, you get your ass handed to you by Stern

what is the deal with the EC games this year?

    Orlando v Philly
    Boston v Chicago
    Miami v Atlanta

all three have been really vicious... lot of flare-ups, flagrants, and what-not. The WC by comparison has been a complete non-event in comparison.

The East was like this back in the 80s and 90s but it had more substance to it.

stern should definitely be crucified for the inconsistencies but i'm not putting any weight into the conspiracy theories. if you're stern, you would rather see chicago advance so you can further market derrick rose, rather than help a very depleted celtics team delay the inevitable.

I'm going to watch the game just to see what happens to rondo. Eye for an eye in this case...

What sickens me about this is after his flagrant foul on Miller, Ronda tries to influence the refs with hand gestures to indicate he blocked the shot. Watch the first fifteen seconds or so of the first video. After Ronda crosses the lane after cracking on Miller's head, you can see him making the hand gestures. Lying dog.... or shall I say Wildcat?

Wow, I hope Rafer gets his on Rondo. I was kinda ambivalent on the Magic in Round 1. But against the fake tough guys, go Magic!

what rondo did had nothing to do with basketball.. these are bad examples... they were plays within the confines of basketball (ie. going for a shot, no malicious intent on trying to hurt someone).. rondo should have been suspended in my opinion

I like the Magic in this series, but I don't see them as a championship team at all, I mean Philly almost beat them.

They showboat too much, I thought picking up Rashard Lewis last year was going to be huge, but he hasn't played the same.

Hedo is a ballstopper... I don't recall him playing this way in SacTown, although of course now he is better, I don't see the game he is currently playing as his role.

Anyway aside from all of that I want Orlando to win, because I hate Boston and I know Cleveland will kill them in a 7 game series.

Apparently giving a hard foul on dirk is worth 25k, but punching brad miller in the jaw from behind and wrestling with kirk Heinrich is totally cool.

    NBA = joke.
