Honestly, I think the question are 1) whether he has anything-- even just a little bit-- left in the tank, and 2) whether he is willing to play a small role, or even serve only as injury insurance, if the other rotation guys are better options. Even a largely washed up Mike Miller was worth having because he was helpful in a game or two, which could be key in that setting. But the team doesn't need to sign somebody, especially Ron, just to have him pout on the bench. I don't know if Ron and Harden have beef or if it was just a heat of the moment accident back then. I think Garcia and Ron are friends from their Sacramento days.
Off topic, but whatever happen to Von Wafer? I remember seeing him at The Boiling Crab back when he played for us. Didn't realize it until he left lol.
Injured. My guess is there is something lingering/chronic. Houston almost signed him back but decided against it after a physical. The latest I heard was that he signed in China earlier this season with Yao's team but left after a few games due to injury. The team replaced Wafer with Quincy Douby. I think he had some decent years in China and maybe Europe before this season.
Ron Artest has been the worst chemistry killer ever. He hasn't been valuable since he was swinging punches in Indiana.
