No sir, I said that I hoped he was not another Shandon Anderson, but that I trusted Morey.

Slightly skeptical I guess......but now.....I just don't see it......unless he is in the Robert Horry slasher role......

Ron is much better than Ariza, no matter on offense or defense....
I said this since the trade happened...
but still lots of people firmly believe Ariza for the sake of age.

Ariza's struggles is more than just shooting now. He's not moving well with and without the ball, not hustling, and in general isn't into the flow of the game.

There was one play where Landry was looking for someone to pass to on the perimeter. Ariza was that guy who should've come out for the pass, but instead looked like he was stuck in mud... it's small things like that which is stalling our offense.

I can tolerate a few bad games from a player, but Ariza's slump has reached about 10 games, and he doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes and getting better.

Neither. Artest barely shot 40% for us, and a lot of his shots were ill-advised as well.

I guess if Ariza be hitting his shots, wed all be praising him. But since he hoists TMAC contested 3s and misses them..

Ariza's turnovers are as much as 3 times than Ron Atest's....

I will say at first I thought we got the better end of the switch.....but I think Ron, as much as I don't like him is a much better player.

Artest > Ariza, but I'd still prefer someone else altogether

    That was never a question.

But Artest may or may not fit the team better than Ariza once Yao comes back and every thing settle down. The ball stops in Artest's hands too much.

Not to mention it would take almost twice the money for Rockets to keep Artest.

I would rather neither of them be on the team honestly.

To tell you the truth, not one player in NBA with MLE would make current Rockets much better than Aria at this moment.

Also tell you the truth, they are both better than Von Wafer. We'd lose rebounding war every night if Wafer plays that much minutes, and defense would be a disaster.

Ron makes some opponent players feel scared for his strong and tough.
Ariza makes rival players feel excited and focused because of his high frequently turnovers.

Dirk did it with Dampier. Dirk was berating Dampier even as the game was going on. Playoff game. That was embarrassing to watch.

That was not the case when Wafer started last year....why would it be the case now?

His last game over 3 point shot reminded me a lot like mixture of Tracy Mcgrady's shot selection and Rafer Alston's clutch. I am over with him.

That became the case when teams started to know how Wafer was playing. Wafer did a poor job in wnd half of the season and playoffs.

Yao was there to get Wafer open looks, and Wafer was never asked to initiate offense for anybody else. He was a ball hog, it only works well when he's hot.

Well why not have another option on the bench that could get hot?

And he was HOT most of last year.

I don't think offering him a contract now makes sense. Why don't wait till Jan. 10th? By then, the team can offer him a 10-days contract.

Off the bench is fine, of course. Even Taylor played off the bench. Wafer is better than Taylor at this moment.

No, Wafer was only hot for that stretch in the middle of the season, hitting around 50% of his 3s, then became streaky after that. Overall he's a better shooter than Ariza, but he's worse than Ariza at everything else.

Budinger is a much better player than Wafer, I doubt how many minutes he'd get behind Cbud.

Don' be too low on Ariza, not every MLE player can get you 6 boards and 4 assits a game. He just needs to shoot less once Yao comes back, try to flash to the rim more.
