I've heard that rumor and absolutely love it. No idea if it has legs though. I hate dealing Eddie because he's probably teh smartest player we have, but Miller solves a HUGE problem for this team.

Interestingly enough, the Nugs were after Gasol...

That's pretty bad then if you couldn't beat LA's package ;) Why are you being cryptic about who the higher profile player is?

I don't buy this. Doesn't Sacramento still think that they can make the playoffs? Regardless of whether Artest opts out or not, is it really wise to take back Nene's huge contract? Honestly, is he worth $9-11 million a year until 2011/2012 for a year a player that's been mostly a disappointment and has serious health problems?

Common sense has to prevail at some point.

Because the source on the Nugs board said not to say anything. You guys know I would if I could. As for the Memphis trade, our package was better players, but not expiring contracts. That is what Memphis' owner decided to go with.

Nene had a nut removed. It's not like he has a herniated disk or bilateral quadriceps tendonitis. Worst case, he's Lance Armstrong. He just has to get back on the bike.

Take your boyscout team and go volunteer at the old folks home. Ill take the thugs. This is basketball! Denver has someone on their roster that killed a man for Jebus sakes.

    J Kidd.

But it's hard for the Nuggets to get Artest if the Kings insist the Nuggets to take Kenny Thomas' contract.

Marcus,AI, and Kmart are great guys, Since when did they become thugs? Just because they are black and tatted up does'nt mean anything.
Carmelo is a spoiled wannabe Thug........
Artest could help them basketball wise, but he is the only truly crazy one worth being mentioned.....

Why can we offer expiring contracts for Artest?

I am pretty sure we can beat an offer around Nene with an offer of expiring and young talent.

SF, Novak, Head, Chuck Hayes, and maybe even Arron Brooks if it can get us Artest! Come on Morey! Imagine Battier and Artest hounding the perimeter players!!!!!

Mike Miller would be an ideal fit for that team.
