I don't buy this. Doesn't Sacramento still think that they can make the playoffs? Regardless of whether Artest opts out or not, is it really wise to take back Nene's huge contract? Honestly, is he worth $9-11 million a year until 2011/2012 for a year a player that's been mostly a disappointment and has serious health problems? Common sense has to prevail at some point.

Why can we offer expiring contracts for Artest? I am pretty sure we can beat an offer around Nene with an offer of expiring and young talent.
