Please don't try to confuse him with facts. His type responds much better to shouting of buzzwords (socialist!).
Much like this one? Coming from a poster who doesn't like people to "fabricate", i thought I'd expose this silly statistic. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4938252&postcount=26
That entire post is a rebuttal to your accusations. I hope you're not claiming it lacking of substance, there is nothing non-substantial about that. More to the point - what, pray tell , did you expose? You just spouted off a silly idiom about statistics, without refuting a single thing. At least jo-mama made a point. If you think it erroneous, provide some rationale, not just a boring, half-assed, prognostication of falsity. It should also be noted, that you pretty much ran away from the thread you referenced as well. This is, apparently, not uncommon.
I can't say I'm in love with everything Ron Paul supports, but he's one of the few politicians I have any respect for. I think the real reason he scares the average voter is that he's unabashedly post-colonial in his outlook, which is tough to sell when most of the population doesn't believe the US was ever an empire, much less one in decline.
Ron Paul raises some good points and I think in the long run a lot of the issues he raises regarding the strong possibility of a severe devaluation of the dollar should be considered. That said I don't see a specific solution to the problems we are facing. He calls for a repeal for a lot of things but other than a vague call to "Freedom" I'm not clear how his reforms are goign to help us in the here and now. Sorry to toot my own horn but this what I'm getting at in the thread I just started about limited government.
