Once again that is not a right inherent in US citizenship but a limitation inherent in the US government. If as a US citizen you choose to exercise your right to free speech in the PRC talking about Tibet you will find out just how little the fact being a US citizen protects that right. There is nothing inherent about being a US citizen or a foreigner that means your treatment will be always be consistent. What matters is jurisdiction. Why I am uncomfortable with the idea of an assassination program I also think what you are advocating is unfeasible. Maybe we could drag Awlaki to court, maybe not but then should every military target be given due process?
I actually saw the "Impeach Obama" movement outside a grocery store today. A single guy who looked like a character from Moe's bar from "The Simpsons". The guy had some official looking signs with "Impeach Obama" written on them everywhere and he was inviting people to stop to talk to him. He was the only one there. He tried to say something to me as I drove by but I wasn't going to stop. I felt like flipping him the bird actually. I don't like seeing that sh_t personally.
If the GOP take over the senate I believe their will be a call for impeachment, but they will not have the 60 votes to actually impeach Obama...not that that would stop any of them, it would be a great look for a GOP candidate runningr saying he lead the push for impeachment.
Ron Paul sold out his former party, the Libertarian Party - a party of ideological integrity - to join the corporate fat cats of the Republican Oligarchy. This guy once had libertarian beliefs? What a disgrace.
Obama has done real well as president considering the circumstances and situations. He deserves another term
This has happened three times in 220-plus years, twice were the result of fake laws that no longer exist and the one credible subject quit before he could be tried.
I'm confused by your post. The Clinton impeachment was stupid, but I'm pretty sure neither of the charges brought against him (perjury and obstruction of justice) would qualify as "fake laws that no longer exist." What am I missing?
An impeachment of Obama would just be further evidence that the legislative branch doesn't give a rats ass about the country. Yay...more polarized party politics. Fix some bridges already you stupid morons.
I just see this scenario if they have GOP senate majority. Push through the repeal of ACA, Obama vetoes, they find some way to say that is unconstitutional, make a big hoopla about it, bring to trial and it becomes nothing.
Even if the GOP wins the Senate I strongly doubt an impeachment will happen. The GOP got burned last time they did and I doubt the leadership of the House or Senate are likely to want to repeat that.
really? For some reason I always took you to be smarter than that. Let's just impeach him to see if we find anything?
