I didn't claim that Paul had no affiliation with right wing wackos. I know many support him. I claimed that I have talked to him personally about it and recently talked to his son about it and they both told me he doesn't support the conspiracy theories that are propagated by such groups. Maybe they both lied to me, but my only claim is that I talked to Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is someone I respect alot. Unless you have spent some personal time with Hillary, Ron and Rudy I don't know why you would have such a clear view of their character. Character is something that is revealed behind the scenes not it the media spotlight.

Ron Paul had never lied to me and I am not aware of him being inconsistent with his core values in his votes in Congress.

In todays politics you can vote to support the war in Iraq and then campaign like you never voted for such a travesty.

I could go on and on, but if there is a presidential candidate with more integrity, honesty and dedication to the constitution than Ron Paul, please step forward. :)

paul was on leno last nite - for a racist, right-wing, wacko-nutjob he sure makes alot of sense and seems to speak more honestly than 99.99% of all other politicians. instead of basing your opinions off of attack-blogs how about taking a few minutes to listen to what the man actually says?

It is clearly misused. And by the way, I heard that as Washington was dying, he gave his allegiance to the king. I don't know for sure, but that whole Revolutionary General/First President bit could have been merely politics.

Also, please note my previous post and let me say it in a different way. What Wilson was saying does not apply and cannot be made to apply to the Fed even in its current form.

OK- I read your post and I don't think he was talking about our Federal Reserve System or his Federal Reserve System.

it's that - "nation's credit system" part I am going to apply (just me) to the Fed today, I alone see an association between the Federal Reserve System and our nation's credit system.

We both know he was talking about industrialists who control banks and credit, at least I believe that was the context. Here is the context of the quote of his concerns-

"It is known that the directorate of that bank interlaces in personnel with ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty boards of directors of all sorts, of railroads which handle commodities, of great groups of manufacturers which
manufacture commodities, and of great merchants who distribute
commodities; and the result is that every great bank is under suspicion
with regard to the motive of its investments. It is at least considered
possible that it is playing the game of somebody who has nothing to do
with banking, but with whom some of its directors are connected and joined
in interest. The ground of unrest and uneasiness, in short, on the part of
the public at large, is the growing knowledge that many large undertakings
are interlaced with one another, are indistinguishable from one another in
    personnel."

Let me paraphrase- Big Banks have reason to favor Big Business and visa versa

When the Federal Reserve Act was first submitted in Congress it was named the Aldrich Bill after Nelson Aldrich a big business republican, of course the Aldrich Bill was defeated, but it was reworked as the Federal Reserve Act and given to two democrats to present as a bill for the common man. It passed. And just like Wilson said "every great bank is under suspicion with regard to the motive of its investments" Banks invest in business by lending money.

The issue with banks is the control of credit, that is what the Fed does, control credit. And the Fed is a group of banks, privately owned, directed (supposedly) by appointed (politically) govenors, who are almost always neck deep into Big Banking and Big Business. It is all one big coincidence.

OK- that horse has been beat down dead several times. :)

Anyways I never felt like Wilson or his remarks are important, he signed the bill that is all that matters and ever since bankers control the Fed in my opinion.

    Uh..again reading comprehension > you.

Maybe I'll bold it for you

I know he was not talking about the Fed, that was my point. But it applies to the Fed.
