His offense is not garbage, just ridiculously inconsistently.

Worst part is, when his offense is off, he does not pass.

His dribbling skills aren't really up to par either....

I cringe everytime he puts it on the floor....

In terms of his offense, he's like Ariza.....decent on some nights and horrible on most of the others.

Glad i dont have to scream at the tv when he's playing now

Trevor Ariza was a trending topic tonight on twitter!!! Check it out!
go ahead and type in Ariza in the search part on Twitter. It's not a trending topic on the sidebar anymore, but still a whole bunch of lakers fans crying about how Ariza was better than Artest- Sparked by tonight's performance.
    finally justice.

Welcome to the world of Ron Artest, where Queensbridge+NBA happens. His shot selections are erratic and moody. To his credit, when he plays sanely, he plays with poise and makes good decisions. But in between every two or three sane plays, every so often he has to do the insane, stuff that cannot be explained, like shooting treys with one hand in his face. He is not asked to do that, and you can see Kobe's long face whenever Ron plays insanely.
If Ron decides to play Queensbridge, nobody can change his mind, not even Kobe. Phil.J has a decision to make about Ron at closing minutes in the next two games IMO or at least in the next game.

Yup he is getting wide open looks and he still couldn't find the net, sometimes ur defense gets much out of your offense, but I wouldn't imagine that much.

I think Ron Artest deserve more appreciation for trying hard to prevent the Lakers from winning another championship. Go Ron! Finish the Lakers off in Game 6!

I would say we don't beat Portland without Artest, particularly with his excellent production in Game 6. That said, yes, he was worthless against LA after Yao went down. Ron is ultimately a good person and I still respect him, but good god am I glad we got Ariza.

I agree to put things in perspective Ron had a pretty solid game 6 without which we would not have beaten portland. This happened as Yao was neutralized by the fronting defenses. AB would later seal it with his outside shooting.

He showed a lot of poise in that game 6 , with a lot of pressure in that game.

To put it succinctly, Ron has simply choked in this championship series save for that game 1 play. Its either you beat the pressure or the pressure beats you and Ron is the personification of "choke" in this series.

Ariza has gotten his revenge against LA management? And to think, so-called experts just a week or so back were saying Artest>Ariza LOL

Of course, LA could possibly still win this. But LA has just realized what a ticking timebomb they have gotten with Artest. You have no way of knowing which Artest will show up each game.

    Morey rules once more!!!

Somehow the Lakers never get screwed. They'll turn Ron Artest's horrible contract (with several years remaining) into a young perennial all-star while giving up two second round picks. One of those second round picks may someday become a contributor, and Lakers fans will swear it was a fair trade.

I'm not convinced LA with Ariza will fare much better against the Celtics. Rondo is beastin', making impact play after impact play in the clutch. So tough and so smart. The rest of the team just need a different guy to show up each game.

Pierce exemplifies the blue-collar toughness of the team. How many times did he wrest the ball away from Kobe with brute strength and desire? Kobe looks so mortal out there, no longer getting the superstar calls.

i really like tru warier but TA wouldve made a huge difference in this finals. his defense has improved and he cant be left open. remember TA did an excellent job guarding Kobe. im fairly certain he could hold a PP who isnt playing well. at least better than artest has. L.A. screwed up when they let him walk. just like you can see the impact the absence of Posey has on this series in comparison to the last lakers/celts finals

I've seen a lot of the finals, but not every minute. From what I've seen, at least Artest's shot selection, looks significantly better than when he was a Rocket. He's not throwing up a shower of bricks like he did at times last year.
