it was a very brief telephone recap, they said they will post up the complete press conference podcast later on the website.. they said some guys yell out no layups in the stand, and ron artest says " that's right no layups."
Pisses me off. If this was The Astros getting an All-Star, they would interrupt Prime Time TV for the press conference...ridiculous...
Yea that no layups guy had to have been from Clutchfans. It was a little short, but what did you expect? Ron has said everything, and answered every question already. Worrell believes Artest is the missing piece to get us a championship.
Im very disappointed at the houston media, they had everything covered up when tmac had his PC, i guess Ron is certainly no tmac
Just got back... it was short, but pretty fun. It was a basic Q&A b/w Bill Worrell and Ron Artest/Morey. Nothing was mentioned that hasn't been already, but was a humorous and fun rally... - Ron said when he found out about the trade, he had already booked a trip to Houston soon so it turned out to be a coincidence. - Said the fans are great and hope they support him when he makes a steal, block, or even runs into the crowd (fans laugh and cheer). He tells us that we're funny... - Mentions going to Salt Lake City and beating Utah to crowd's approval. - Says he's been practicing his defense this summer. He wonders how the fans practice cheering "defense" at home... while making a mess around the house? While eating spaghetti? (You had to be there...) - Crowd chanted "Morey! Morey! Morey!" when Bill started talking to him. Bill says if he keeps bringing guys like Ron Artest to Houston, he will continue to be very popular in Houston... That's all I remember...
Artest actually said he plans to take the Salt out of Salt Lake. When asked how Kobe feels when Artests guards him, he said Kobe doesn't like it too much ...and neither does Paul Pierce. Sweet.
I'm glad they did this on a school day, not a lot of kids were there. It wasn't half as packed as I imagined it would be. They did everything in the entrance, so me and my friends went to the third floor to get a better view. Worrell was a little overweight, but charismatic. His energy rubbed off on Artest and even Morey. Artest said he is happy to have a big man like Yao backing him, and Shane. Worrell said one of the teams we would have to beat is LA and Artest is a Kobe stopper. Morey was a little tense at first, but he warmed up. Morey ftw.
That was fun, over at the Lake House at Disovery Green. Nothing much more to mention, I was interviewed by the CW39 lady, talked about my Artest jersey at the team shop
If your talking about the press conference introduces Ron Artest as the newest member...that's not it. I can't seem to find it.
