hey, the video on Rockets.com did not include the rally, is there any video clip out of there rally ???
http://www.nba.com/rockets/community/Artest_Welcome_Rally_Gallery-280862-34.html pics and the videos of the rally im in the Artest jersey up front in the white cap EDIT: just watched the whole thing, that was the whole rally, literally, less than 10 mins
I was there. The coolest thing Artest said is that he someday hopes to be as special to us as #34 was. Not that it will ever happen, but those are huge aspirations. I hope he does it, that will mean multiple championships.
I am starting to believe that Ron Ron is reading threads here, he knows how much we hate Utah too... lol
Ron thinks he can be more aggressive defensively because he will have the awesome defensive presence of Yao behind him. Reality is we constanly rag on our guards for allowing penetration, often resulting in the penetrator drawing fouls on Yao, prematurely sending him to the bench in the 1st quarter due to foul trouble. Ron Ron is in for a rude awakening.
go to rockets.com for the press conference, which it's nothing special. This rally video is definitely more interesting than the press conference.... two months until the 1st game.. Look out Boston, here we come..
It was kinda short, but it was fun. I'm glad I went. I think I saw Clutch. I saw Jeff for sure. Saw the media folks. DM got a HUGE reception. That was pretty cool. It's not often (if ever) a front office type of guy gets a reception like that.
I can't find the actual quote but I remember Phil Jackson said the difference between Shane Battier of Memphis vs Shane Battier of Houston was that in Houston he had someone behind him watching his back. Yao hasn't been in early foul trouble due to guard penetration in first quarters for a while now, probably since the 2005-2006 season.
The dude on prison break is wearing a McGrady Rockets jersey!!!, nothing to do with artest but thats awesome
