Ron Artest vs. Ben Wallace Boxing match on PPV for $10 Mil.

No way Artest wouldn't win.......

 

Ben would kick ass and then Artest will start biting his ears off and get disqualified.

 

muscle dosn't really mean everything it's hand speed and I'm pretty sure ben wallace would feel a solid punch from ron...I can't say who would win.

 

This would be more interesting than the current matchups in the heavyweight division.

 

I just don't understand how anybody thinks Ben Wallace would stand a chance. They're about the same height. They're both pure muscle, but Artest has 20 pounds more muscle. Artest is so quick he can guard 2 guards, so I can't imagine he wouldn't be the quicker fighter. And on top of all of that, Artest has some training in boxing. I don't know if Wallace ever boxed. The only possible advantage I can see for Wallace would be his reach. If I'm not mistaken, he has a longer reach than Artest.

Artest would most likely kill the guy.

 

This discussion is pointless. There is no way it will happen. If teams can get clauses put in contracts restricting players from playing flag football and other casual sports with the potential for injury, there is no way in HELL would they allow their players to engage in a sport whose sole purprose IS to hurt the other person. And then have that other person be someone you know they hate. Gotta be pure BS coming from Artest...or else it is something he hasn't run by his team yet.

 

How about Artest versus Shaq? I personally think Artest will kick Shaq's ass. Sure Shaq is FAR bigger, but he's so slow compared to Artest. The only way I see Shaq winning is if he grabs Artest and forces some type of wrestling move. Otherwise Artest will win.

 

As long as it's not a fluke like the Rodman vs Malone match.

 

I would bet for Ron. I think Ron is more of a boxer and fighter, while Ben is just the Mr Universe type - only for show... I won't be surprised if his middlename is Gaylord.

 

ron is overrated and hyped. Ben is built ford tough...

I'd pay and would be rooting like a madman for Artest. The brawl would've never happened without Ben Wallace instigating it and firing up the fans during the aftermath of the scuffle and before Artest had a beer thrown on him.

if anyone saw the brawl/melee last year (as it was repeated 1 million times here in detroit), you could easily see artest running away from ben when ben came after him. if he really wanted to fight him he had his chance. this is all talk...

actually the UFC uses a octagon shaped cage. PRIDE uses the ring. i would love to see these guys in a MMA match. I would also like to see Artest, since he is over 200lbs, fight Andrei "the Pitbull" Arlovski, Fedor Emielenko, and Mirko CroCop.

Hell I would love even more if any one of these two guys fight the smaller MMA fighters, like my favorite Takanori " Fireball Kid" Gomi who is just an absolute badd ass.

 

ron is bigger overall, but ben has much bigger guns (look at any recent pics of his arms... this guy might be taking roids). ben seems the type that don't give a F#$@ who you are (i.e. fighting Oakley at 18) or how much he (himself) is bleeding. i'd take ben in a street fight and ron in an organized boxing match
