That's what Ron does. Ron has been always saying : I am the BEST player in the NBA. Most of you guys actually thinki he jokes, but let me tell you something. He really means that, he thinks he can be as good as Kobe or Bron. When he is hot it is great to watch him play. He can really do it all. But the problems begin when he is ice cold. Usually when you don't feel your jumper, you try to go inside to get that confidence back. But not Ron, he will continue taking those long range shots no matter what. Sometimes you really love this guy, sometimes you just hate him. We haven't seen the best part of Ron so far. That hurts.
It's been a crapshoot in terms of what Rons going to bring to the table, like may have said it all depends on whether his shot is dropping or not. I hope he can gives us one big offensive game tonite. If the Roxs can make it to game 7, anything can happen.
He came up huge in the clincher against Portland. I expect the same tonight. He'll have over 30 in a very efficient game in a Rockets win.
You all can say what ever you all want about Ron but the truth of the matter is Ron allowed us to have a winning season. Ron got us to the playoffs! Ron got us out of the 1st round (something soft ass Yao and injury Mac could not do). You have to appreciate what he has done for our Rockets team. Case closed.
I would like to try and start a Brooks-Wafer-Battier-Artest-Scola unit today, and try to speed up on offense a little bit, take Gasol outside the paint and see if we can get something out of a less clogged paint. I just don“t think Scola and Hayes have a lot chances against Bynum-Gasol defensively, and Scola alone cannot compensate on offense. Having more scorers might help. Have scola guard bynum no matter how bad this is and let Artest Stay on Gasol, double Kobe with Brooks or Wafer and let Ariza or Fisher shoot the 3. Mainly Ariza if we can.
The main issue with Ron is that at times he tries to do too much. I think when Artest concentrates too much on being a scorer, that is when we get crazy shots and turn overs, he and the rest of the Rockets as well, should start off focusing on their defensive assignments, then when they get the ball, look for the open man on the court to score, instead of just gunning for small cracks that appear in the Lakers defense. We can easily do it tonight, but it will take some effort.
This isn't inspirational, it's calling Artest out a bit. More was expected of him than he showed in game 5.
