I've seen more basketball than you will see in your life. 1st of all.

Maybe one day you will understand it, but yes, Artest is the typical player who helps you win 40-50 games, and ****s you in most of games against playoff teams.

Artest is the most selfish dumbest player I've seen on a team I follow. Absolutely 0000 understanding of the game, he can't pass the freaking ball, ton of bad shots, ton of bad decisions, he thinks is Kobe Bryant... he's higly overrated on defense, no transition defense (never), no 1on1 defense in a lot of games, he turns it over and doesn't go back to defend... He can't read a game, can't read an offense, he doesn't changes... and he's very very very stupid.

So yes, that's a cancer. Sorry for you.

The Rockets DO NOT have enough offense, with or without Artest. If you are suggesting that Artest just not shoot, that would just have the other team not guard him. Where would you suggest his shots go? To Brooks? To Wafer? To Yao? Scola, maybe, is the only person who needed more touches.

I don't know what you are thinking he could have done better. Get a steal every possession? Help the other guys hit their wide-open looks? Ron played. He just didn't hit his shots. Who did?

Oh, what a classic come back. It's official, then. You are the basketball guru and whatever you say is best for the team.

You don't know anything. And you are certainly not worth my time. Ron Artest is a MUST-HAVE for this Rockets team. He should not be the 2nd option, but unfortunately he is because of a certain $22 million dollar player being MIA.

There's a chance the Rockets would have lost in the 1st round, with or without Artest. Their history would suggest otherwise. So when and if they do lose in the first round, guess what? Your prediction of "Artest causing the Rockets to lose in the 1st round" won't make you Nostradamus.

+/1 - Yao (-7) and Hayes (-8), not to mention Yao's 4 blocks (2 of them were on Boozer I believe). Boozer got hot after he hit two layups when Yao had to rotate off him to help. I gave Chuck credits for some solid defense, but I don't see the night and day at all.

You are very uneducated. It's trolls like you who come out to bash Artest that don't understand or see anything that he does and the impact that he has had on the Rockets team. I never said he played great tonight, idiot. But your call to have him rid of is absolutely ridiculous and what solidifies you as a "troll". Go back to wherever you came from because you are stupid.

The trade dead-line has passed too, did you know that? And you won't be able to get Kobe Bryant for Artest, genius.

then the rockets are in trouble. ron artest is a very good player. but watching him tonight was like adelman thought he was tracy mcgrady. unfortunately, we all know he's not as good as tracy is on the offensive end.

all i know is we are at our best this year when our offense is balanced with no one else dominating shot attempts. tonight, artest did and we BOMBED.

I didn't say he played great tonight but not going through him down the stretch is what cost us the chance to win the game. He wasn't the reason we lost the game on both ends. The reason we lost was that we were playing at Jazz's tempo and AB0, RonRon, Wafer, Lowry and even Barry were looking for quickies throughout the game.

    Thanks.

My prediction of "Artest is stupid" won't make me Nostradamus when he plays stupid because is so so evident.

And the same with this predictions that I've being saying for months ago:

"Brooks will never be the starting PG of a contender"

"Von Wafer doesn't knows play basketball".

Unpopular phrases, I admit. People will realize them in playoffs.

going through yao v. the jazz was never a good idea. what makes you think tonight would be a good idea? he shot 6-16.

the way things went tonight, we needed to spread the ball around.

I agree that we need to spread the ball around. And for this Rockets team, apparently it's only possible to achieve this by going through Yao (and mixing n a little Scola from time to time). You expect Arron "shoot first and pass second" Brooks and Ron "I will take the shots regardless" Artest to give you that?

Ron tended to force everything when he had an individual bad game. He did it obviously especially during a big game like playing against Lakers and Jazz. I think every coach would bench Ron when he's out of control. But Adelman didn't do it. The only reason I can think of it should be benching Ron would make him crazier. Maybe Adelman want the bomb explode in the court but not in locker room.

Anyone else afraid of what's gonna happen in the last Laker game? I'm willing to bet that Artest is gonna try to prove himself and jack up a ton of shots within the first quarter alone.

For everybody who gives Artest all the credit for the Rockets improvement without Tmac, think again...

Did it ever occur to yall that because Tmac's constant injuries really interfered with the team chemistry on the court. So when he finally did shut it down for the season, there was bound to be an improvement. This team on paper is a 60 win team with everybody healthy. When a team that is this good and with a good coaching staff, they just needed some consistency from day to day. That made a HUGE difference.

So a team that could've easily won 60 games this year, can win 52-55 games now, which is fine, considering the injuries. Its not because Tmac is not there or because Ron Artest is the savior of this team, its because everybody else has gotten better.

Luis Scola, Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks, Brent Barry, Kyle Lowery, and Von Wafer have helped tremendously on the offensive end.

Last year, Scola and Landry wern't consistent, Aaron Brooks couldn't get on the court, and Barry, Wafer, and Lowery weren't even here. Rafer was still expected to be our 3rd best scorer and Battier was expected to average 10 ppg, not 6-7 ppg.

Now, you have Scola putting up a double-double very often, Aaron Brooks is our starting point guard, Carl Landry is our best bench player, Kyle Lowery is a very good back up point guard and Barry and Wafer can shoot the 3's pretty decently. Then for defense, you have Hayes and Mutombo for certain matchups.

Yao is playing better now on defense, he's not picking up dumb fouls as much, he's blocking more shots and having a presence down low. He's doing the same down low as he did last year, which we expected. So anytime you have him healthy, you'll have a major advantage down low. That always helps your team.

Now, I'm not saying Artest doesn't deserve any credit, because he's played some very good games, where he was under control for the most part, didn't force anything, and took good, wide open shots and got Yao the ball. He did none of those things yesterday.

For every good game he has, he has about 4 bad ones, where we either win despite playing Artest or we lose because of Artest. Its hard to blame one guy for a loss, but he's made some boneheaded plays this year in late situations and has taken even dumber shots in those tight situations.

When he should post up, he jacks up a contested jumper

When he does post up, he always looks to draw the foul, even when the refs haven't falled for it all night.

When he should get Yao the ball, he waives him off for a pick n' roll which he can't execute with Yao very well at all.

When he penetrates, he makes bad passes. After awhile, its hard to watch him try to dribble and cross people up. He just makes bad decisions with the ball.

All I'm saying is, Artest is not the reason we're 16-5 without Tmac. We're 16-5 despite Artest playing this bad. If he was playing good, it would be another story. But we are not going anywhere with this Artest.

When Yao went out the last 2 years, you could clearly see that it was because of Tmac that we posted good records, even in 07, when he had nothing around him except old role players. Last year, he helped the Rockets win 10 in a row after Yao went down, with the help of Scola and Alston, but TMac was the leader of that team. He made all the right plays and even if his shot wasn't falling, he still impacted the game with his playmaking. If it wasn't for Tmac, we would've been swept in the playoffs in 07 and 08. There was nothing more he could've done for the Rockets in those stretches.

I appreciate Artest for taking on the challenge of trying to fill the big shoes of Tmac, but he's just not that type of player. You may not realize it now, because it doesn't hurt nearly as much in the regular season, but when the playoffs roll around, you'll see what I'm talking about.
