How many shooting guards are we going to go through, before people realize thats not what the problem is?

Absolutely not. I'm in the minority on this, but I still think the Rockets should take a pass on handing this guy any sort of guaranteed contract. He's just got too much baggage, and one season of mostly good behavior isn't enough to convince me that he's changed.

It's ironic that Artest is sort of playing T-Mac's role. But he is no T-Mac in terms of offensive talent.

good call. it's not his baggage that worries me, it's purely his play this season. i think that he loses just as many games as he wins for us. does anyone remember the play where he missed a wide open scola along the baseline with a clear path to the rim last night? i've seen those plays repeatedly throughout the season, which reflects negatively on his bball iq.

Its not our 55%fg shooting center is it?

All this time I had no idea our only all-star was the problem. Get him outta here then!!

Lol nobody trusted their teammates more than Tracy. He trusted the hell out of Chuck Hayes.

Were talking about Tracy right? I dont know a TMac.

Damn sure did. No matter how many open layups Hayes missed McGrady kept going back to him.

The problem is Ron Artest's attitude. This new attitude of his and trying to be a good 2 shoes is making him not play like the Ron Artest we know. The Ron Artest that torched us all the time when we played against him. You noticed that he hasn't showed up all season.

Also Yao can be a problem also. He is clogging up the middle and its hard for guys to play the style of game they are use 2 playing because they have a dominate guy down low. Artest can't play Artest's game.

One thing about Artest, when he was a King and used to torch us, putup 30 points, they werent all off balance three pointers. The Ron Artest I remember was constantly attacking the basket, posting up and just using his strength to over power everyone on the court.

Now he's a Rocket and decided he's a three point shooter. He's never been known as a shooter and the guy takes like 8 threes a game.

Plus the fact that he just flat out refuses to run the offense drives me crazy.

Ive never seen a more selfish player.

We have Yao down low. Its going to be hard for him to post up. When he was with the Kings Ron was posting and shooting. Ron can not constantly attack the basket because Yao is clogging up the middle.

McGrady's injury really shocked the team I believe. McGrady or Yao could either be the number 1 option. Artest would have been a great 3rd option and he could have did whatever he wanted to with the 2nd unit.

Artest should be traded, this guy is just a stupid person. He could destroy your team if you give him a long term contract. Too bad, I though he was great player, totally wrong on this one.

Tracy's game is not even similar to Ron's game. Tracy has very great feeling and understanding of the game. High basket IQ, great passer, very unselfish player, and has shown (last year, before Yao's injury) he can play alongside Yao.

You can say Tracy doesn't play defense, has a bad attitude... whatever, but he's not even remotely similar to Ron. Obviuosly, a healthy Tracy is a much better player than a normal Artest (they play in different levels).

ron is a wild beast from the jungle who needs to be tamed and the only person on the team who has the ability to cage him is rick adelmon and hes to scared to do it. adelman is automaticly gonna close out games even if that particular game doesnt call for him to be out there. everybody on the team has some sort of leash on there games by adelman except ron its unfortunate for me to say this but its ron artest team.hurry up and get jvg or tom thibadue in here daryl morey so we can get out of the first round adelman doesnt know how to coach talent.

I have heard that several times.

They always mention Ron as being one of the greatest "2-way" players in the league.

Nobody called Ron a "great" player.

He was brought here to be third fiddle.
