despite his recent good play, I still don't feel that warm automatic when he takes most of his game to the outside...
(long jumpers, 3's, dribbling w/o penetrating)

    I'm never really sure.

Ron brings us warrior spirit, too. It's very important for us. Do you all see ESPN writers have changed their mind after game 1?

I think Ron wants to stay in houston he would take 7-9 million .. u know the rafer alston trade happened to clear some space since cook contract is done this season. i dont think daryl morey would do this trade unless knowing for sure we hav enough money to sign ron .. Iam 80% sure would be one of the big 3.

Cook has a player's option this next season that he will no opt out of since he has not get 3.5 million from anyone else.

It's going to take 10 million per to keep Artest which I think is fair. He would be a max player if it weren't for his history.

Ron, for the most part, has played within himself for the past 3 games. I'm very impressed.

He still takes those 'oh nonono don't do it......YESSSSSSSS' shots on occasion that raise my blood pressure though.

I was not happy when I learned Artest was coming to Houston.
But somehow he seems changed. Like he was looking for a home and has found one. I feel that he loves his teammates and all associated with being a Rocket. I think the "good boy" demeanor of the rest of the Rockets has rubbed off on him. I have warmed to him. He works hard and obviously has the passion and desire for the team to do well.
I hope he is re-signed. I hope he would choose to be a Rocket over more money. That is what Deke did, right?

And today will not be one of those great games. 21 shots and 1 assist. I miss Tracy McGrady. A remotely healthy T-Mac > Artest and it ain't even close!

if he makes 3s, he'll have a great game. he relies on them way too much. he's better than that. hopefully he'll watch tapes and improve.
