http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/ian_thomsen/02/27/weekly.countdown/index.html "I haven't been the guy who's been fortunate enough to play with Shaq, to play with Tim Duncan. I always seem to have average teams,'' he said. "You take me back in my Orlando days with Shaq? Come on, there are no questions. You take a healthy me and switch me out with Paul Pierce [on the current Celtics]? There's no question. There's definitely no question.'' Ron Artest doesn't need no Tim Duncan! or Shaq! and he doesn't want to be swtiched out with Paul Pierce! Ron Artest has YAO MING!!
"Hey Tmac, you don't need Tim Duncan or Shaq or switch to the Celtics, you have YAO MING!! a REAL ROCKET!!
Exactly, Tmac is far from wordly, he says some of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Too many sycophants on his side of the fence.... DD
please please dont bash t-mac over and over, he used to be the man of Rockets, hes got problem now, give him sometime or show some respect if he cant return back to the court, cuz he used to be one of us
Don't be embarrassed!!! you didn't call the Rockets a "Average Team" or talk about playing with Shaq or Tim Duncan when you got YAO MING! This is for the Clutchfans that had to put with the Tmac nation throwing everybody under the bus and making excuses for him. This is for the Clutchfans who's glad we have someone who doesn't throw the team or his coach under the bus. This is for the Clutchfans who are ROCKETS ONLY FANS. This is for CHINA! This is for HOUSTON! This is for THE HOOD! This aint for no stanking scoring chumpion or the days he played in Orlando! We don't need no stanking scoring chumpion! We got Wariers!!!!
Not trying to pile on T-Mac, but looking back, man ... that was a garbage thing to say. I was a big T-Mac fan and still love his game when healthy, but I can honestly say for me it was like the light switch went off after the Toronto game. To give that lazy-ass effort, then point at his teammates for not getting him the ball ... just would have a real hard time finding respect for him again. There were always so many "questionable" things with T-Mac that it was hard to give him the benefit of the doubt every time. Loved his play for much of his Rocket career though and I wish the Rockets had gotten some real talent around him and Yao earlier. Going to be very interesting now to see what happens. The only way I think he stays is if the Rockets prefer the cap savings themselves. I'd guess he's done as a player here.
