he played huge in a close out game. He delivered and no one can deny that. I'll remember or him for that even if he doesn't play another season as a Rocket.

People need to accept every night he doesn't have good shooting nights, and he just fails to realize that.

Tonight though, I mean he just knew what he needed to do, take the ball to the rack and he did it often and just enough.

Played great defense, and man great job tonight.

Loved what he said after the game "Getting out the first round was not our goal..." just like I said earlier this year, I just hope next round we give our very best and go out knowing we did everything we could.

It was great, Yao was cracking up and Artest just kept on "this guy offered me a beer, he didn't throw it at me. I wanted to drink it but too many people were watching..."

You could tell they were going to celebrate tonight.

He did what TMAC could not do, deliver when the season was on the line. He did, and for that he has earned a contract.

Way to go Ron! Now please dont let kobe drop 40 on you :)

I love the chemistry this team has, and I'm glad Ron didn't mess it up...but made it stronger. He gets along with everybody, and the fans love him...WE LOVE HIM.

Exactly. I've been defending Artest over the last few days and this is why. Artest has been the main reason why we morphed this year from a soft team to a super physical, tough team. And he is one of the few players in the league who can be the best defender on the court and still score 20+ on offense. Plus he stepped up in a close out game. Yao and Artest got out of the first round in their first year, something Yao and McGrady couldn't do in three attempts. Artest has earned a contract here.

    Plus he's hilarious.

i started a thread that said ron was going to have a great game in game 6....he was due. he's too good to be completely bad for a whole series. got flammed for the post....i'm confused.

bottom line is the rox had a very good season and finally made it past the 1st round. having ron has proved to be a great move. so many people had also said ron was going to implode.....

Ever since the team got him, he's grown on me. By midseason, he was my favorite Rocket for his whole package(on the court and off it). I felt he would come up big when everything was on the line, and I was right.

I want him to sign an extension ASAP so I can rock a number 96 Artest jersey next season.

Artest thanks for bringing the toughness that this team had been lacking for years.
