A minor surgery that apparently takes 6-9 months to get back to 100%.

Yeah, according to people trying to cover up for a guy who failed to do his rehab.

Otherwise it takes about 12 weeks.

thanks so much for this. So many Rockets fans give Ginobody the "all heart, all courage" stuff and give him ankle excuses...it is so nice to see Artest finally given the same treatment. Dude can't jump...we saw that in the Denver game. But we bashed him.

come on...Artest is in the top of the list wrt to effort.

When I saw the thread title I knew this would end up being a T-mac bash fest. This MB never fails.

Ron played great, he hustles and gives it his all......I would still trade him, but he was good tonight.

Player hater, Artest's ankle injury is less severe than what T-Mac is going through. Even Tracy has been able to play through ankle injuries in the past.

 Trade him? For who? Artest is exactly what this need will need come playoff time. This is a terrible idea.

He is redundant when Tmac and Battier are playing......I would trade Ron for a good PG.

If TMAC would have half of Ron's heart, we should pass the 1st round in the past seasons.

Redundant? Artest is exactly what we need off the bench. Scoring, intensity on both ends of the floor, and an explosive burst of fire that can fuel this team's chemistry.

He is not redundant on this team at all. Name me one other guard/forward on this team that can play offense AND defense as well as Artest. Ron is anything but a redundant player on this team.

I hate it when people think anthroscopic surgery is actually a big deal. Your defense of tmac on this matter needs credibility.

BREAKING NEWS Tmac and Battier aren't always playing - I don't know if you've noticed this, but TMac isn't Lou Gehrig. And Battier is Battier.

And by the way, the last PG Ron netted in a trade was Bobby Jackson.

Yes but what if the next PG is Mike Bibby?

Its not a big deal.. but its not a small deal either. Maybe I'm blind but he was playing like crap before he "shut it down". So... maybe it has something to do with surgery he had in the off season. I'm just putting two and two together here.

I know there really isn't any evidence that says he's hurting that badly, but then again there isn't that much evidence the other way either. Both sides of the argument are making assumptions. And when evidence doesn't point one way or another, I choose to support my players rather than hate on them. Thats just me.

I don't want this thread to deteriorate into another Tmac bashing fest when Artest basically led the comeback without actually having to score.

    I agree.

This is one of the most annoying things about the GARM. You start a thread about one thing and it gets derailed into people talking about what they've been talking about in thread after thread...day after day...week after week.

You see...the slow minds have to always return to their focal beliefs. that's all they have. narrow minded....and feel like they have to continuously defend their original takes ... no matter how much it does or doesn't apply to your thread. People who respond to threads in ways that are clearly about other threads are overthinking themselves...like we really care. sheesh.

hell, i used to post threads about new plays I saw, and they always turned into bashing either Rudy or Cuttino or turned into Trade Ideas threads.

    sigh
