Liberals have been reduced to throwing stones (small crappy ones at that!) as opposed to actually discussing the merits of their own terrible candidate. Just look at how Obama has failed on the economy, my brothers. Time for change.

    LOL Hardly!

We'll see who'll crack under the klieg lights of a campaign.

Did you know in 13 years of being a member of congress Ryan has only had 2 of his bills become law? That is how outside the mainstream his ideas are.

One of the laws was a tax break on arrows for bow hunting.

these guys are going to get nailed to the wall.

Can't wait until the debates and see how badly Romney falters. Ryan - Biden will be a display of fireworks too.

Romney is going to have to explain his taxes and his budget, his record at Mass....whether he stands for compromise or whether he embraces conservative ideals - he's going to be in a pickle.

How is he not going to sound evasive to the country when Obama challenges him directly - "Hey I am not going to answer that question" haha.

That should be the universal response to any post by a whiny "conservative".

    I find this rather troubling.

Paul Ryan Dumped A Bunch Of Bank Stocks The Same Day As Congressional Leaders Met With Hank Paulson During The Crisis

Republican Vice Presidential Pick Paul Ryan sold shares in a number of financial companies including Citigroup, General Electric, Wachovia, and JP Morgan Chase on the same day as then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke held a closed meeting with congressional leaders during the financial crisis.

At issue are the sale of troubled banks like Wachovia and Citi, as well as General Electric's struggling capital unit, dated on September 18, 2008 — the same day as the meeting with Bernanke and Paulson according to the Associated Press.

Ryan's 2008 financial disclosures, which are publicly available on OpenSecrets.org, were analyzed by Business Insider (Via The Richmonder).

The sales total as much as $60,000 — although they could be considerably less. The House disclosure forms do not require specific values from members.

OpenSecrets.org estimates Ryan has a net worth between $927,100 to $3,207,000.

Ryan's disclosure also shows the purchase of shares in Goldman Sachs, which was considered a relatively safer bank at the time.

Wachovia was later purchased by Wells Fargo after it neared failure at the end of 2008.

Attendance at closed door meetings are not tracked by the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives, which keeps records of voting by members.

We've reached out to Paul Ryan's Congressional office to see if he was also at the meeting.

Other representatives have come under scrutiny for trading on non-public information during the crisis.

Earlier this year, Spencer Bachus of Alabama, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, was cleared of insider trading by the Office of Congressional Ethics after it had opened an investigation of his dealings in financial securities.

Below, Ryan's schedule 4 financial disclosure forms showing financial movements (arrows added to point out transactions in question). S's on the document represent sales by Ryan, while P's indicate purchases.

Hmm this is troubling for a number of reasons... First, how does Ryan have a net worth of 900K to 3 million when he does not and has not really worked in the privare sector.

Even if it is completely coincidence, it does not look good and only furthers the under current that Romney and Ryan are deeply entangled with wall street.

Congressmen make good money 174k plus he has been there for 13 years. Also his wife is a tax attorney so she probably made some good money too. 900k+ is not hard to imagine.

Some more stands of Paul Ryan besides his anti-Medicare and Social Security stands.

    **********
the author of the blueprint Romney used to craft his notorious budget plan to raise taxes on 95% of Americans while cutting taxes for those who share his rarefied financial atmosphere

the latest in a long line of brigands seeking to eviscerate Medicare and make growing old in America the equivalent of growing poor again,

a job-killer who wants to do away with Pell Grants in an age when educated workers are becoming harder and harder to find,

a family friend of Big Oil, which explains his virulent hatred for any attempts to safeguard the environment, as evidenced by his oft-repeated claims that climate change is a giant conspiracy he says is invalidated whenever snow happens to fall, which explains his vote to overthrow the EPA's ability to regulate greenhouse gas pollution, his vote to block the USDA from preparing for climate change, and his vote to kill higher light bulb efficiency standards for reasons passing understanding,

and let's not forget that he was a member of that very very very special cadre of House Republicans who signed a bill to make fertilized eggs into people so as to outlaw abortion, in vitro fertilization and many forms of birth control.

I am afraid it won't matter, as I doubt debates have much of an effect on voting in presidential elections. Heck, four years ago GOP voters thought Palin did well in the debates. The bar will be so low for Romney and Ryan, so simple repeating of buzz words, regardless of the question asked, will allow them to skirt the real issues and holes in their stories. And when all else fails, Ryan can look at the camera and wink.

You Might Be Paul Ryan If...

If you admitted that you got into politics because of the impact on you of the philosopher of personal greed and egotism, Ayn Rand, but later had to deny it because it was bad publicity, you might be Paul Ryan.

If you want to destroy social security for others, but after your father died when you were 16, you used your father's social security survivor benefits to help pay for your education at Miami University of Ohio . . . you might be Paul Ryan.

If you say your budget plan was inspired by Roman Catholic teachings, but but nearly 60 prominent Catholic thinkers and leaders condemned it as heartless, cruel and un-Christian . . . you might be Paul Ryan.

If you claim to be a free marketeer but want to keep $40 billion in tax breaks for Big Oil in the budget, you might be Paul Ryan. When it comes to green energy, the Right says it has to be profitable on its own, but won't give it a level playing field.

If you would raise taxes on the middle classes; but your budget would allow your wealthy running mate Mitt Romney to pay almost nothing in taxes, you might be Paul Ryan.

If you are against deficits in an economic downturn and during a Democratic administration, but voted for all the measures that ran up the deficit under Bush and erased Clinton's budget surplus, you might be Paul Ryan.

If you say you are pro-life, but supported to the hilt an illegal and unjustified US invasion and occupation of Iraq, which killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, you might be Paul Ryan.

If you accused climate scientists of conspiring to "intentionally mislead the public on the issue of climate change," but are yourself a Koch brother-backed conspirator for the 1%, you might be Paul Ryan.

If your proof that climate change is an illusion is that it still snows in the winter, you might be Paul Ryan.

Ryan's wife was a tax attorney and has some trust funds from what I read. He may be fairly clean in that regard though, completely ideologically hardened to people not so fortunate. Also Ryan's father was an attorney so he was not born poor or anything.
