This doesn't make me feel any easier about the election but without more evidence I am not going to jump to the conclusion that the Romney family have fixed this election.

I think there is a danger in general with electronic voting regarding computer security. The Romney family might not have a back door way of fixing the vote but that doesn't mean some skillful hacker couldn't find a way.

The FBI should consider looking into this. It is important that a nation be able to safeguard itself from fraud.

    Yeah?

While they're at it they should be looking at Obama's college application and passports to see if he entered college as a foreign exchange student and used a birth certificate from a foreign country. Since it's important that we be safeguarded from fraud.

    Yeah.

Glad to see we've got some birthers on this board. Investigate all you want. In fact, launch your own private investigation company. Nevermind the fact the President has already b**** slapped you all by releasing his long form birth certificate, some of you are still making a living licking Donald Trump's ball sack. How sad.

LOL the CIA should get involved? Department of Homeland Security? LOL

Do we think Tagg Romney bought the machines to let Al Qaeda infiltrate the US voting process or something?

Don't know if this is actually a big issue, but there's no way it can be less of one than the "voter fraud" that supposedly necessitated voter ID laws.

If this was going on in any other country, we'd be calling the election a sham.

You've had some loony posts lately but I think this takes the cake.

I think you need to take your meds, Mr. Trump.

Harper's also has an article this month about how the GOP is going to rig the election which is also full of a lot of circumstantial evidence. I don't think this stuff is helpful. If you're going to come with accusations undermining the integrity of the electoral process, come with hard evidence. For now, I'll trust the FEC is doing its job.

It isn't circumstancial. This happened before in 2004 and especially in 2000.

Read the first chapter (70 some-odd pages) of "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" by Greg Palast. A depressing read, unless you're big texx or basso. Jeb Bush and his Secretary of State purged tens of thousands of likely Democratic voters from the voter lists.

Problems in the 2000 elections led to the problem being "fixed" with electronic voting machines that are easily manipulated and give no paper trail of the vote; all the companies producing these machines are Republican supporters, and tend to eat votes in that direction.

After the 2004 election, HBO's Hacking Democracy documentary showed how Diebold and like companies placed software on electronic voting machines that manipulated votes. Sorry to sound like a Democrat :) but Kerry "lost" Ohio (and the Presidency) when his lead on election day evaporated, quickly, magically, as the day wore on. Exit polling showed he carried the state by a decent margin, exit polls that are virtually never wrong.

I just wish people would quit being naive about this. People and even the media act like this just couldn't happen in our country. We get media B.S. with stuff like ACORN which leads to no one able to actually vote. That's all a distraction from stuff that's actually going on.

EDIT. Hell, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska got elected because he was part owner of the machines that counted the votes. His opponent was leading in the polls by a wide margin until the very end, then, magically, Hagel wins by nearly that same margin.
