Not to ruin the end for anyone, but that is pretty much what happens, only the poor **** is some senators.
Had to bring this back...I finally saw the season finally and it was alright...I, like most people, expected the "Ides of March, Et tu Brute", etc., but overall, a great show... I'm curious to see how next season will start...Will it pick up right were it left off, or go to another time period...I'm of course, assuming it'll come back...
Well, I would think they would continue with the same characters, rather than starting with a whole new cast, (minus Caesar, of course). There is Anthony and Cleopatra to be developed and Octavius. There is a connection with all the surviving characters. By the way, I got to where I really looked forward to each new episode. The scene where Pullo was to be executed by gladiators was awesome. I was afraid they were going to kill him off. I hated to see Niobe go. I expected her problem to surface, eventually.
They portreyed Ceaser to be an honorable man, but i've always believe him to be corrupt and cruel. The series played it out like he was doing the best intrest for Rome and not himself.
Is Niobe dead for sure, I guess she would be but I will miss her too. Always liked her since seeing Kama Sutra one night on Skinemax I like the show a lot too, the Gladiator scene was magnificent.
hmm, I didn't think they portrayed him in an honorable way at all. I know I felt he got exactly what he deserved when they went all prison shower on him.
Wait a sec... why has it ended already? Thought a season ended in May? We're behind in Britain so how many episodes are there, 12?
that scene was disturbing, which I love about HBO, they make murder seem gory and disturbing like it is instead of clean bullets to the head. ceasar was supposed to be complex, he was a good soilder and loyal to friends but he was also a tyrant who wanted full power. any of you caught that he was the one pulling the strings on that murder by titus pullo that had him sent to the gladiator arena. and he told vorenus and also his nephew that he had nothing to do with it so he was going to let pullo die. hbo, also in their humor suggested that he his murder, one of the most famous in history, was orchestrated by a scorned woman.
What a surprise. When I'd just about given up Deadwood for Dead, they finally showed an episode. Why does it seem so long between seasons for HBO shows?
Holy crap, 2007...Who the hell do they think they are the Sopranos...Well, I agree there is a lot to work with...I suspect that the MA & Cleopatra or Octavius angle...Of course I will miss Niobe, but the best scene was the Gladiator scene, I mean, besides all the naked chicks...
Definitely caught that. Actually, that was pretty much the only part in the series that made me dislike Caesar. I read somewhere that ratings were down for Rome, so HBO wasn't going to release anything new for awhile. Anyone know when the new season of Deadwood will start?
