I work for one of the prominent financial firms that I will not name... but it's a big one. Credit-default swaps and asset-back securities are not simple. The chain of ownership alone is a long and twisted mess on all of these "assets."

It is a deep, dark well... and I've been in the business for 5 years and feel fairly well educated on the subject.

 

I think you missed the point. I didn't want to talk to that gentleman about politics because I don't want to talk anyone about politics (or religion), whether we agree or not, period. The exception would be among close friends, and even then I'm not that enthused.

But you're seething anger and outrage from all the rhetoric has already painted a picture of myself in your mind and I'm sure I won't convince you otherwise.
