a list without "im yours" by Jason Mraz? I mean the song did break the record for most consecutive weeks in the top 100.
As usual, Rolling Stone has its finger on the pulse of the music world. Much props for a thoughtful and relevant list.
Wow... Just wow. Whenever Snoop Dog makes a list that includes the word "greatest," the writers need to be fired. Terrible.
it doesn't really matter.. this essentially serves to re-confirm what we've all known for some time.. mainstream music now is as terrible as it's ever been.. infact it's never been worse.. indie music.. splits two ways.. it's either contrived and insincere.. or it's good and derivative.. excluding the unknowns of the world.. music has pretty much been in a long rut..
This certainly underscores how out of it I am when it comes to modern music - I've heard of maybe 5 songs on that list.
Pretty good mix of mainstream and indie, and rap, rock, and pop. Not bad for a list that is trying to please everyone. "Crazy" would probably be in my top 10 as well.
It’s a horrible list. How can they possibly put the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Maps as the 7th best song of the past ten years? Hey Rolling Stone Magazine, your Miracle Ear is out of batteries. You are an archaic magazine that should have ceased existence in the 80’s. What’s next Miley Cyrus for best singer of the century.
