I was in Aussie's last night and one of the guys working there said they don't have a basketball package (just a football package)... Is tonight's game on a Fox or Turner network then? Is there a back-up plan if they're not showing the game at Aussie's?

Seriously???? I know they had it last year, maybe they've decided not to have it this year. I do know that BW3 has it, but that may too big an undertaking to occur tonight with parking downtown being so bad.

I won't be able to go by Aussie's until two or so, but be thinking of other options. We have BW3, the Tavern (12th and Lamar), or, maybe, possibly, my place. I have a pretty big apartment, I could handle some people.

    Anyway, be thinking.

Called Aussie's. The manager in charge at the time didn't know if the satelite package for Basketball was ordered or setup yet. He told me to call back at 5. I don't know if that's enough time to rally the troops.

I haven't been to BW3 or the Tavern, but as long as there is a table, beer, and the rockets...I'm there. I'm up for some 30 cent wings if others are too.

Are ya'll positive that we can watch the game at Tavern? If so then that's fine with me. BW3 is also a cool alternative.

I think we can get everyone together, no problem. My vote goes to BW3, if Aussie's doesn't work out.

I'll go with BW3, but I need directions. Also, is there parking?

Either Aussie's or BW3 will work for me. Should I just check back here at 5PM to know where to go? Thanks!

BW3 is on 6th street on the north side between Brazos and San Jacinto. The only parking is street parking. Good tip is around 6:45 park in the commercial spots (make sure it says 7-7pm, not all the time). They're usually empty and we've never got a ticket doing that.

    e-mail me at blake@corp.swirve.com , I have a question for ya.

BW3 is the name of the place. I think it's Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck, or something like that. It's pretty much on the NW corner of 6th and San Jacinto, next to the new Hard Rock cafe they're building.

Just called BW3, game should be on, street not roped off yet. The thing about Aussies, though, is that if they don't have the package set up yet, but were going to, it doesn't seem like it would take that long to do it.

    Rocketman95,

Any chance that you or someone else can check with Aussie's about it before 5. I got a meeting to go now that may take a while. I'd prefer Aussies as it will be less hectic than 6th street.

It would be best to decide by 4:45 where we'll be so no one (Me in particular) ends up at wrong place.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot in an hour or so. E-mail me though at blake@corp.swirve.com just in case we can't work Aussies out.

OK, I just got back from Aussie's. They're pretty damn sure they will have the game on tonight. The best thing to do, I think, is to show up as early as possible, between 6:00-6:30, that way we can see if they're playing the Cleveland game (which starts at 6) or not. If they are, we're golden, if not, plan B.

Also, if we're there an hour early, we can have a couple NTN Austin Rocketball Association Trivia contests...you'd all be playing for second. :D

See ya there, I'll be the fatty in a Texans hat.

I just sent the same thing in an email, but thought others might be thinking the same thing:

Okay, I'll show up as close to then as I can. Will this be in the bar area? Also, if they end up not having it, what time do you think we'll head to the other place? You have to remember that not everyone will be able to show up early, so you could miss some people moving from one place to the other. I hope I'm not complicating things!
