Apple TV good if you have other apple products. Airplay is awesome.

I have a Roku... not one of the HD ones though. It still offers good quality images (fwiw I have an older 40 rear projection).

What really makes it worthwhile is if you have NetFlix and the instant queue. We watch a number of old TV series and the occasional decent movie that way. Tey also offer other channels like Crackle that offer movies. Plus you can get Amazon and other pay-for movies. Easy to set up, easy to use. Very good for a less than $50 investment.

I've never heard of playon before. For only a one time fee of $50, I'm astonished to the fact that you can get that many channels for that price. It would be great to have for my room, since I don't need to install a cable box in here.

Never heard of playon. Originally I was looking for a way to start watching game of thrones thru netflix or hulu, witch I guess isn't even an option.

Now after looking at playon, has me wondering if I can replace directtv all together. Basically I would be wanting to watch college football and NFL. I'm not that clear on that playonscript. Does that enable you to get NFLTV for Thursday night games? Will SEC tv be an option when it is launched. Got to watch my Aggies.

Seems like with playon, Hulu and Netflix, I'd be able to get a lot of what I'm looking for.

Former owner of a Logitech Revue. It ****ing sucks.

Now that's not to say the newer Google TV's do, but my experience with that device was terrible.

There are several script channels you can stream game of thrones through.

For game of thrones and other tv series I use onechannel.

    For live sports. (Firstrowsports http://www.playonscripts.com/?w=view&id=327)

    Nfl network- ( http://www.playonscripts.com/?w=view&id=909 )

    For live tv (Hbo,Espn,Showtime,etc). ( http://www.playonscripts.com/?w=view&id=912 )

    It also has espn3.

These scripts are basically apps you download for the playon software.
