Yes. You don't have to be sorry, though. How about just HOLDING the guy for what he's done so that the REAL AUTHORITIES (or even the girl) do something to him for what he's done?
I think thats what people were concerned about. I didnt even see that guy move and even after several minutes he still couldnt get up under his own power.
CITIZENS ARREST!!! come on swoly...hold him there and wait for the authorities? Like the guy isnt going to fight back or get away?
lulz he shoulda thought about that before hitting the girl, i dont feel bad for the guy if anything i wish huerta wouldve hit him a couple more times.
You mean, TRY to fight ROGER Huerta, a UFC fighter? How stupid would he be? More stupid than to get hit by a girl? Of course the guy got what was due to him... maybe someone "unknown" will not be under so much heat... shoot, I don't know, but if you or I beat up the guy, we're not going to be as "known" and so we can run... but that was HUERTA. Everyone knows HIM. I also didn't think the last-minute stomp was necessary. I bet you anything the LB UT guy will sue.
I completely agree with this. [rquoter]“I was disappointed with Huerta attacking that guy as bad as he did. Street fighting is never acceptable. Roger could have restrained the guy without beating him up. The guy was a total douchebag for hitting a girl and he surely deserved to be punished for his actions. The guy that attached the girl is a complete looser but I also feel that Roger went vigilante on the guy. An elite MMA fighter vs. Joe Douchebag is not a fair fight either. I am sure Roger (when he is calmer) will agree that he snapped and that is not the thing to do. The attacker could have had a gun, a friend with a gun etc. He already displayed a lack of judgment by hitting the girl. So I do not condone Rogers actions. The guy in me says hell yeah karma strikes again but the father in me says this is why the family courts wont allow my son to watch the sport. I know Roger and a lot of other MMA fighters and they are some of the best people in the world. It is a shame that this is what he will be known for. I hope that girl is okay and that Roger is not judge by this alone. I think most of us can understand the outrage, but we have to control the anger and do the right thing.” – Shane Carwin[/rquoter] It was a completely asshat thing to do for Bobino to sucker punch a women, although I would be interested in hearing his side of the story, and Roger Huerta acted honorably he still has to be careful. An incident like this could have some serious legal ramifications to him and some social ramifications to the sport of MMA. I do question though Carwin saying that he could've restrained the guy. Holding a guy down in the street isn't the same as doing so in a competition ring or dojo. Also why did he take his shirt off?

was that Roger that stomped the black guy or some other guy? Huerta using his Tekken moves on the street?
<br> I'm really beginning to think that you always pick the opposing viewpoint for some cheap thrill....
Imagine if that girl was your significant other or sister. I'm sure that probably wasn't Huerta's girl or anything but seeing a girl get hit like that is NOT OKAY. I'm sure Carwin would be singing a different tune if that was his wife or daughter. I'm glad Huerta stepped up. Most people wouldn't have stepped up (and didn't) to that guy because he's huge. I'm sure he used to walk around thinking he's hard but after getting owned like that by a guy half your size I would think it's a humbling experience. He had it coming to him. Maybe I'm extra sensitive to people getting cheap shotted in the back of the head. I had an acquaintance in college who died because some guy punched him in the back of the head outside of a bar fight. He fell awkwardly, had swelling in his brain and died.
While the guy got what he deserved, I'll agree that at least the last stomp (If it was this Huerta fellow) was too much. That dude wasn't running or hurting anybody any more. Hope there isn't permanent physical damage to him. Of course the UF fanboys don't care but the rest of the public and the legal system might.
Bunch of wusses !!! The guy hit a girl and got his ass beat.....he deserved whatever he got. He should have thought of the consequences before hitting a girl...who was not looking BTW. Consequences for his actions = lesson learned. Hold him for the cops to get here...dumbest thing I have seen written on here...ever. DD
I'm in no way defending the douchebag linebacker, but HYPOTHETICALLY: The girl that got hit is fine. Huerta stomps/hits the guy who dies of brain damage - Huerta goes to jail for a long time. Who deserves what in that situation? IMO, Huerta has a larger than average responsibility to also think of the consequences of his actions. A good hit, kick or stomp from a fighter of his caliber might very well kill somebody.
