Roger Ebert passes away

    Interesting read -- as most of his entries are.

    In the end his position seemed reasonable. He claimed that he should never have said anything if he wasn't willing to even try a game at all. That's true.

    And it's a very similar sort of thing to a gamer who just doesn't like certain genres. Like me -- I don't like RTSes. That just means that I'm not the right person to write a review of Starcraft, not that it's a bad game. If Ebert had no interest in games to begin with -- just as I don't in RTS games -- then he simply wasn't the right person to comment on them.
