The inside info I have is just what I was told.....basically a good friend of my dads had lunch with Roger couple days ago and he will play for the astros most likely....the only problem is Hunsiker sp*....in 98 or 99 when we tried to get him from Toronto something happened between the 2 and so its just egos involved. As soon as Roger gets over it he will play for the Astros.....never been a big supporter of astros but this would get my attention hope what i said comes true

I hope Jeff and Roger had a good chat today on the golf course. Damn, that interview is awesome. It had me smiling and dang I am not so happy. I hope we get Roger Clemens.
It's just boggles my mind that our team is going to resemble the freakin NY Yankees. However they will still spend 100 million more than us. Just imagine how Roger would feel if we beat the RedSox in the 2005 world series. I'll go ahead and coin the phrase now before anyone elde does: "The Houston Astros are the NY Yankees of the National League." As soon as Clemens official signs with us, i'll make Drayton happy and buy some season tickets!
Ummmm. I believe it was a writer, possibly from the Chronicle. Regardless, I am in the same boat with JPM in that it was documented that Clemens and Hunsicker cleared things up a few years ago. I dont think you should be offended that your inside info is being questioned. After all, its not first hand information.
NEWSFLASH!! Just talked to one of the player licensing guys who was down in New Orleans for the baseball winter meetings. According to him, Clemens to the Astros is pretty much a done deal. There's a small hitch with his son and football (which might delay Roger joining the team on time), but other than that, he's a Stro. You heard it here first.
