The thing about cruisers are they are slow, poor handling, and get crappy gas mileage. There fun because you can pretend to be a hell's angle like every other RUB (rich urban biker), but as practical bikes go, they suck. They best thing about cruisers is that they handle so poorly that riders don't generally try to do anything crazy on them.

For most beginners, I recommend getting a standard of some type. Quick, comfortable, and handle fairly well and most of all cheap.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, citing a police source, reported Roethlisberger also broke his left sinus cavity, suffered a 9-inch laceration to the back of his head, lost teeth and has knee injuries from hitting the pavement. A plastic surgeon has been called in, the source said.

He should have consulted Jay Williams first before buying a motorcycle.

Professional athletes riding motorcycles, pure men of genius. Your stud on the field, make millions because of your muscles and coordination, but you willingly ride an instrument of death without a helmet. You don’t care that you are just one wrong turn, one driver on a cell-phone or one oily spot in the road away from ruining your career and losing that million dollar contract. We salute you Big Ben, pure man of genius.

ESPN: What is the difference between what you're talking about, recreational riding, and what Kellen Winslow was doing? What kind of bike do you ride?
Roethlisberger: I ride a Harley and a chopper. Those are the two bikes I ride the most.

He doesn't necessarily say that the Harley and chopper are the only ones he rides, just the ones he rides the most, so I guess he decided he wanted to go with a crotch rocket today...or else those really aren't pics of his crash.

    Maybe you missed this:

    "I don't ride a sport bike."

Well, unless those pics are of something else, it looks as if he changed his mind.
